I had same result — my 3.3.4 version sends contact7 forms as expected; the site at 3.3.8 form never arrives though it says it did
also, I need to urge once more that the version numbering be changed — these little changes run up the major version number and are scaring people — the change from 3.1to 3.2 should have had significant changes, not just some minor tweaks. instead the 3rd number should just increase to 10, 11, etc that’as the industry standard and when people see v 1 go to 2.1.1 then soon after 3.01 and up to 3.3 it gives a poor impression of the stability of the program
as it stands now, people have no idea whether they should install a new versio0n, and whether the changes are substantial or cosmetic

Whats changed? Im on 3.3.5?
Always nervous to update without seeing a change log. Please Leo, could we get those for updates if its not too much trouble?
Technichally nothing is changed.
3.3.6 / 7 were changes on what I percieved to be a problem. Then I realized there was no problem, so I removed them and thus we have present version.Ok, so we should just ignore the message that there is an update to 3.3.8?
June 21, 2014 at 6:18 am #11448Same issue with 3.3.8. When I try to update it updates to 3.3.7 and then tells me to update 3.3.8.
Tried it twice now.
June 16, 2014 at 9:29 pm #5811I have been experimenting with different things without success until now. I began adding individual links to google web master that are under the sitemap_index.xml. Example: /image-tags-sitemap.xml
These were indexed within 24 hours of being summited to google. Not only that but the /sitemap_index.xml started is now being indexed.
I am still not sure why this was necessary. But it works.

Are you submitting the site map with/without a www if your site does/does not have one as google sees these as different addresses?
I have tried it both ways. Neither one works. The status is always pending or submitted, never indexed. Leo’s image site map is always indexed.
May 23, 2014 at 9:19 pm #5803Looking at my Google WebMaster reports, it is indexing my images from Leo’s image index plug in(symbiostock_image_sitemap.xml, but it has never indexed my sitemap_index.xml. I have submitted the sitemap_index.xml thru the google tests with no errors, but it never gets past pending status. So I am happy that I have Leo’s plug in. Thanks Leo.
By the way, Bing WebMaster processes both sitemap_index.xml and symbiostock_image_sitemap.xml without error.
May 20, 2014 at 12:03 am #11275Installed and appears to have passed the test. I am on BlueHost.
April 20, 2014 at 5:23 am #10888Currently using Slideshow 2.2.21. Very basic system. But I don’t know that I need any more then what I am currently using it for. I have tried several others but never happy with the results.

Can someone explain exactly which bit has to be commented out – and do you do it with /* */ ?

I tried it white screened my pages.
If you don’t know how to work with MySql would it have the same effect if you put the original analytics.php back for a while as well?
This is how my code looks and it seems to work ok.

Many thanks for digging up this one. Great job! 😀
Throttling of my site stopped instantly after commenting out that line. I wonder, though, what side effect(s) this might have. As I understand this the change doesn’t turn off analytics completely but just one step of it.
I have the same results. Throttling stopped as soon as I commented out the code. Although my site did not have much compared to others, I am sure every bit helps.

Hello, I just noticed that, all my images links were modified and all finishes with ?r=food.ezeepics.com
Before, a normal link was http://food.ezeepics.com/image/imagename/
I don’t understand when and why is changed. Somebody can give me a hint? Where to look? Also the Facebook share gets crazy – don’t share anymore the images (I can choose only from site logo and other two images).Did you get your Facebook share to work? When ever I try to share a post it only displays the Paypal logo and does not give me the option to display anything else.

Unless I’m confused, I believe I have Yoast SEO installed already. That’s the one that gives you colored circles rating each page for SEO, correct? I’m just not sure how to best use all of its features, most notably the Social options I’ve mentioned.
ThanksYes, Yoast will rate each page.
I also have Yoast SEO setup for twitter and Google + social media. You have to setup accounts for each of the social media before you can setup Yoast to connect with them.
The same is true for Jetpack social media if you have it.
I also have JetPack, with tends to mess up Yoast interface to Facebook. I have not successfully been able to use both while trying for a social media connection to Facebook. Something about the open graph meta data is being repeated to Facebook.
April 1, 2014 at 6:18 am #10767Whether or not you use the social features of Yoast, you definitely should install Yoast SEO. It is critical to the successful marketing of your site that you set it up during the early stages.
At one time I believe there was a tutorial related to its setup. Anyone else remember a tutorial and where it is located.
There is also a post on this blog that talks about the most common plugins that are used by other Symbiostock sites. See
http://www.symbiostock.org/community/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=906&hilit=plugins
The board has a great group of people that can help if you get stuck. My recommendation is take it slow and backup your files often!
