With all the competition in the universe, I would say keep all the content you have on your Symbiostock site. This way Google will like your Symbiostock domain for both media and your articles, and since they are all related to photography, it will be a good match. I think putting the blog on your old site is only useful if the old site has a strong ranking in Google. Based on what you’ve said, that does not seem to be the case, so I would not do that.
Another benefit is as you design your Symbiostock, be it upgrading the header or footer, or whatever, it will affect both the blog and store at once, providing a more uniform branding experience for visitors.
August 4, 2016 at 2:55 am #27498Hi Christine – make sure you have Symbiostock Pro installed – you get it from the shop page at the top here.
Once that’s installed, along with all other dependencies, you should have default licenses under Symbiostock > Licenses. Please confirm whether you do or not. If not, then you will have to create a new license there, set a price, and ensure it applies to raster images. That is all on the license edit page.
Then upload a new image and it should auto apply. If you want it to apply to the images you already have in place, you have to check ‘Update prices’ and ‘Update licenses’ on the license edit page and the processor will then sync the license to the appropriate media.
The initial setup may be a little complex but once it’s running it’s very easy.

Accordingly, we have added our own portions and customized a lot of other ones, but because it is such a large and customizable theme there are always improvements to be made. This is a good one as it now directly integrates the gallery widget to Symbiostock products.

1) What version of Symbiostock Pro are you using?
2) Can you confirm via the Symbiostock > Settings > Media > Media Location field that it matches your structure?
3) When did it last work, and has anything changed since then?
4) Have you tried uploading a test image via the web uploader? If not, do so and report back.
5) Is it finding media when it is processed via the cron?
July 25, 2016 at 3:42 pm #27393Symbiostock comes with built in licenses, but with stock media the licenses are generally dictated by the seller. There is no actual ‘standard’ per-say, but for the most part the licensing on Symzio is modeled after the most common licensing in the industry.
You basically have a choice between three license models:
1) One time use license
2) Royalty-free up to a certain number of prints
3) Royalty-free unlimitedThese are the most common licenses available in the stock market so you can sell your media in accordance with this. You can also specify specifics as to whether you want to allow use for certain subjects (or not), etc.
July 25, 2016 at 3:38 pm #27392I agree with George. The build in search system has nothing to do with Symbiostock as it is based on WordPress. The only exception is we add keywords to the search system.
You can try disabling that in your settings to see if you prefer it without that addition, but I’m guessing it will do more harm than good.
In my opinion this is an acceptable inefficiency for the time being given that WordPress is not quite Google yet. 🙂
