I’ve been adding the various states and countries that I have photographs of in my site:

But have run up against an issue. When I click on Virginia to do a search on the keyword “virginia”, I also get images from West Virginia (a different state for non-US readers!). I could put specific categories against the right images, but with 6000 images that would be a fair amount of effort. Is there a way to search just for Virginia (I put the keyword “West Virginia” in its own commas rather than “west, virginia” if you know what I mean.

    Steve,

I am no expert on this stuff, but I’d think you could build something that could deliver what you want.  But should you?

I always go with a “good enough” stance.  Does it really matter if I go to Amazon and search for West Virginia and also get Virginia in the results?  Or would I just click through the results to find what I really want

Unless there is a quick, easy, inexpensive way to accomplish it, I’d sugges that you consider that what you have may very well be “good enough” for most potential buyers.

    George?

I agree with George. The build in search system has nothing to do with Symbiostock as it is based on WordPress. The only exception is we add keywords to the search system.

You can try disabling that in your settings to see if you prefer it without that addition, but I’m guessing it will do more harm than good.

In my opinion this is an acceptable inefficiency for the time being given that WordPress is not quite Google yet. 🙂
