Just an update – we’re well along. I’ve just about finished the uploader classes and I’m working on the image processor.
I’d love an opinion: I’d like to *require* people to use imagemagick for the sake of simplicity. Thoughts?
Also the “Networking” aspect of Symbiostock is being extended to be a full on social network, and I’ve been integrating that as well.
May 12, 2014 at 7:22 pm #8411Great job and thanks a lot!

Hi Leo,
Auto-posting to twitter, Fb and G+ would be great !
But some times ago I’ve read that Google didn’t make it easy to automatically post content to Google+ (need Google+ API or linking in through Google Voice).
Is it always true ?It depends – I’ve done lots of coordinated social network posting. For instance I used to use ping.fm which could post dozens of networks at once. But that service is no longer around.
I’ll get back to you soon on that.
May 12, 2014 at 3:39 am #11191I’m generally referring to the idea that if a few people can make use of it (or more than a few!) then I can create it to encompass the basic functions you want, and then sell it on the main site. This goes for any idea.
I made Chromaco a plugin for SEO that cuts his image description time in half, I just haven’t released it yet. But he says it works great 😀
May 12, 2014 at 2:00 am #11189If anyone has any legitimate needs for plugins to be created worth being purchased, let me know. I’ll do that and that might help us along as I keep developing Symbiostock.
That is not a very hard thing to do, and yes it can be done.
May 11, 2014 at 9:19 pm #11177Sounds good. Like the check-engine light on my car, it’s happy glow is enough to remind me at least the warning system is working. It’s kept me company many years.
May 11, 2014 at 8:20 pm #11173Let me know if you fix this. If not, I’ll need access to your cpanel.

May 10, 2014 at 2:40 am #11099Thanks a lot for both of those things. Regarding searching image number, I’ll keep it in mind. I’m attempting to write out the system in such a way its easily modified for such requests.

So glad to hear that, Leo. You rock 😀
Thanks. I decided to listen to some heavier music and it keeps me going strong

Could we get rid of the “image updated … date” on the single image pages or is it necessary for SEO?
I had it there for SEO purposes, but as THP pointed out, it might be a way to unwitingly set an experation date on your relevance 😀

Thanks for the update.
Did I miss something earlier or misunderstand – is the new version unconnected to WordPress?
No, its connected. Its going to have its own database and add as close to 0 as possible on wp’s basic resource overhead. WordPress is necessary because people have such diverse expectations the only way to fill it is with wordpress. Similar philosophy to what started, only this version is being created with an OCD level of performance efficiency among other things.
May 8, 2014 at 11:41 pm #11075Thanks a lot – we’re consolodating everything logically now – and hopefully we could even drop some options?

Your going to love the vat system. Once you input the vat number it auto-populates the rest (name, address, etc) super easy.
Right now we’re just researching if that is legal.
the Eu allows that for all country’s except Germany: http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/?locale=en
Wow you might actually have helped us with a major issue we were stumped on.
Just to clarify, we don’t know how legal this is:
Input VAT tax number…it returns basic VAT information.
Using that information, the system address search and get a more expanded address for the system’s records. Its a matter of convenience – when the customer inputs vat tax number, the form fully populates itself saving time, trial, error.
This is the part we are questioning legality on. If you can help us confirm legality (or like you say its based on individual places) let me know and I will simply input an auto-populate option.
May 8, 2014 at 12:40 am #2228Wow! Good job and congrats!
