Yes, I believe you can do that by modifying the CART page (automatically generated). Initially the content for that page is blank – you can add whatever you like and resize it.
February 24, 2015 at 5:31 am #11582I’m not sure this feature could be added very easily. Its a good idea though.
February 24, 2015 at 5:29 am #11578Once AJT sees your request he might update it. Thanks for posting
February 17, 2015 at 11:17 pm #11580If its a glitch on Google’s side then its hard to say what might have caused it – if it is local or just them.
On the other hand, try deactivating a few non-essential plugins and trying to follow the search results again. It could be that a redirect is happening randomly.
February 12, 2015 at 8:32 pm #5544Usually AJT who runs the site keeps his eye out for such requests. If he is still adding sites, its possible this request might get it added.
January 23, 2015 at 2:27 am #11570The new version will really not even resemble this one – it uses pre-created packages which have stood the test of time.
It you are hoping to get some images active before the new version let me know – there are a few things to check.
Broken HTML (often caused by custom HTML being improperly inserted) can prohibit some things from being posted properly. Another common cause is the IPN beign blocked by a separate entity such as a spam blocker. Thirdly, and hardest to figure out, there is the paypal account itself.
The way I solve this is by activating a little testing module found in the IPN script itself. If a transaction occurs, it will write to a text file the details. If not, you can be assured it might not even be making it that far.
Its a slippery subject, but if you are in need I can give it a look.
January 23, 2015 at 1:09 am #11568Hello, happy to see you.
Is it an intermittent problem? Some sites have the issue, some don’t.
– Do you have security software presently active?
– In your consolidation, did you merge data/images between the two sites?
– Is your paypal account a pro one?January 16, 2015 at 11:39 pm #11563@redneck wrote:
I think something we really need to generate more sales is a better (larger) presentation of our work. We need to make an impression.
Right now the image pages are too cluttered and the main product is simply too small (and not really sharp).
Just take a look at offset, flickr, smugmug or 500px to get an idea what I’m talking about. You are 100% correct on this. Some criticism of symbiostock stated before that its simply not “good looking” enough. I think it was “bunhill” who more plainly stated “I have yet to see a Symbiostock site which actually looks good”. I wouldn’t say they are ugly, but I get the point.
I’ve made mountains of progress primarily on the visual aspect of it. I’m getting to ready to release the first part of the framework under a different name, thus allowing it’s first phase of development to happen outside of the Symbiostock community. This version is for academic professionals to present their writing in a visually attractive manner.
After this it will be a fairly small feat to reimplement the bulk uploading, license, and networking.
Progress has been pretty good, so this is another update.
January 7, 2015 at 9:08 pm #11561Lots of progress has been made. As mentioned, emphasis is largely on appearance this time around. Today I’ll be finishing up the home page system – very nice and modern.
Progress continues.
January 2, 2015 at 9:07 pm #11559Will do – I am making significant weekly progress. Unlike the first version which had a prototype cracked out in two months, this one is much more refined and broad – I will greatly appreciate any tester’s efforts in the first releases.
January 2, 2015 at 9:06 pm #11549Hi Christine, nice to see you.
The new version of Symbiostock uses an established cart system – it simply subs out the work to it. That means every practical concern for the cart is already addressed. For instance, in this new system you can allow the user to purchase without login or not — VAT tax is covered.
As I continue to make progress I’ll release details. In the meantime work-arounds are probably best.
December 29, 2014 at 12:28 am #11557Hello everyone
Every so often I’ll post an update on progress.
More progress has been made on visuals and the menu system. For the sake of those professionals who have a following on their work, this new version is compatible with wordpress forum and buddypress plugins. This will allow for your audience to communicate with you on site and follow your work. It was something I had intended with the original version but was unable to complete.
Besides that the cart system is functioning quite well with attractive widgets and such.
December 29, 2014 at 12:19 am #11527Thank you for your patience. I’ve been busy with the new version among other things.
I didn’t have to log into your site – I checked the search function of the premium plugin and sure enough it orders by rank, not by ID or time uploaded.
Email me at leo [at] clipartillustration [.] com and I’ll send you the revised version and see how that does for you.
December 21, 2014 at 9:30 pm #11547Taxamo seems great actually.
I did a little research and with the new system I am creating, it turns out you will be able to use a wordpress taxamo extension.
If I can find some time to detour I’ll see about finding the most efficient way of filtering IP addresses (ie, locations) so that buy options are removed from the countries you specify.
Right now the biggest fix is the new version, so I’m putting as much as I can into that.
December 21, 2014 at 9:26 pm #11565Hi there,
The particular 3+ version can be found here:
Symbiostock.com (scroll down, see download link)
However, in a bit longer there will be a much improved version available, so you might just wish to wait.
But yes, that version you are using is quite old and there are lots of improvements even in the present 3+ version.
I believe you will have to redo menus and widgets, but that should be it.
