Your making A LOT of use of collections! Good job btw!
October 23, 2013 at 5:26 am #5833I believe there are lots of simple plugins that will append it to the end of your content. Here is one for instance: http://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-like-button/
You can determine which custom post types (like “image”) to assign it to, depending on the plugin.
October 23, 2013 at 5:19 am #5829I’m not sure where Plrang has been! Maybe he’s burned out from developing? I can only relate! Before I rip off his code I’d like to be sure that:
A: He’s definitely not going to continue the plugin
B: I’ve had a fairly decent break from a nicely tuned Symbiostock before adding more features.Modals are extremely important! When you network, it allows people to see images BEFORE they jump off your site. Its a convenience for the customer. I use them almost all the time when viewing people’s sites.
Also people with slow browsers benefit as well, having to do less work.
October 23, 2013 at 5:06 am #5718I want to be clear on a few things:
1. You should generally be navigating like a customer. The customer is prompted to sign up when he clicks on an image size choice (as its always been) or he can do so from the top login option. Yes?
2. That option (on signup) should drop you right on the page you were visiting, resulting in NO delay in purchase.
That said, I did not put password fields but rather auto-password, making sort of “instant gratification” purchase for the customer. Adding a password/password confirmation field is just another thing to bog down the process.
Assuming I’m not misunderstood, perhaps the wisest choice would be to have a “Change your password” link on the signup email?
Please let me know if I’ve missed anything. I’ve been out all day.
October 23, 2013 at 5:03 am #5079Thanks for reminding me on those. The license one is last on the to-do list since it represents the most painful and risky thing to approach. The last update was only the login convenience.
October 23, 2013 at 5:02 am #5812Thanks for exploring that and reporting it. Those subthemes come from a resource for bootstrap 3. ( http://bootswatch.com/ ) It may be that some of them are altering things unnecessarily. Please tell me which subthemes are giving you the most trouble in Dragonfly.
What are you trying to accomplish? Depending on your expectations you may just be better off sticking with the clean-theme that you’d been using.
October 22, 2013 at 6:33 am #5742Its looking awesome! The layout is looking very good.
October 22, 2013 at 6:23 am #5068I need a develpment team.
October 22, 2013 at 5:32 am #5066Btw I’ve also noted the above bug reports. I just had to get excited over this.
October 22, 2013 at 5:30 am #5685It depends. The premium version gives you an option for titles.
October 22, 2013 at 5:28 am #5065FINALLY!!!
SCROLL DOWN TO SEE WHAT IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!
AUTO LOGIN!!!!!!!!
https://github.com/orangeman555/symbiostock/blob/master/symbiostock.zip?raw=true
2.8.9
Very very simple. User lands on product page. User sees the annoying “Sign up!” prompt. They sign up. Instantly they are logged in, and they never leave the page. ONTO PURCHASE!
Hasn’t everyone been relentlessly asking for this from day one! Mark this day on the calendar!
October 22, 2013 at 1:43 am #5617I miss a lot when I skim through these. It might be that there is an php4 error in the image processor. But I’d have to look into it. Until it effects more than one person its quite hard to put a finger on.
October 22, 2013 at 1:30 am #5615I just uploaded an image and both the minipic and the preview were fine.
You mentioned at the outset that your php version had changed? Your host may have moved back your memory settings. If memory settings are too low, the process will crash during the watermarking, or even at the minipic (the watermarking process uses slightly more memory)
The OTHER issue may be that you’ve unknowingly started uploading sizes that are outside of the range your server can process. For instance this image here starts entering into the “large” region
http://lastockphotograhy.com/image/fresh-baked-sugar-cookies-on-cooling-rack/
5200 × 3444pxTest it out this way:
Make a square image, and start it at 4000px. Upsize it several times and save, so that you have a few images:
test1.jpg 4000px
test2.jpg 4500px
test3.jpg 5000px
…And so forth. Upload them all and run them ONE at a time. When the process finally crashes you’ve found your maximum image size your server can handle.
Also you can change this by way of your php.ini file, if you haven’t learned of that yet.
Forgive me if I’ve mentioned things you may know — I’m not familiar with who’s on what level in Symbiostock.
October 22, 2013 at 12:25 am #5613Can you give me admin ? leo[at]symbiostock.com http://lastockphotograhy.com
