Get rid of the cart manager. I’m going to be making a better version of it eventually.
The issue with the cart manager is that it was made quickly to accomodate issues in the beginning where transactions did not always give purchases to customers — the cart manager would deliver it instead.
Now the issue is solved except when non-symbiostock things get in the way. The cart manager is a nightmare — delete!
February 19, 2014 at 4:53 am #9545I’ve long since deleted the “set up passwords” tutorial (It was with site setup services which I no longer offer) but in cpanel there should be a passwords option — you can set up another password for a developer. That way the person coming in can’t see your personal info.

Sorry I didn’t see that a few pages back.
But that might actually be the problem in itself. You may have to have your host revert it back (hopefully I didn’t miss that), if you cannot do it yourself. Even if there are no visible files, a DELETE ALL can sometimes delete something invasive. I put that feature there as a backup for that situation.
I’m not sure what you mean, Revert back to php5.3? DELETE ALL like, Delete all my files and reupload?

One more thing – can you check the permissions on that folder?
You have a very deep problem. If you want to create me a cpanel password I can go in and fix it myself. Its not possible for me to fix it on the little I can see here.
I don’t see anything to click on to add a cpanel user, I could share mine though. Which folder are we talking about? The permissions haven’t seemed to have changed for my symbiostock directory (ftp read and write still works).
NO, DO NOT delete all files. 😯 I mean there is an option in your image processor to delete ALL. Run that once just to dust up any thing that could possibly lying around (that your not seeing on the image list) … extremely unlikely but still worth a try
On Bluehost there is a way to create a separate password for developers. (I don’t want yours) … let me see if I can hunt down some directions on how to do that.

February 19, 2014 at 3:46 am #9539Did you ever get imagemagic working? Let me quote from one of the help files:
Image Processing ImageMagic or GD Library
Some notes on your server’s image processing methods there are a few things that influence your server’s ability to process large images, and large amounts of images.
- The image processing module: ImageMagic, or inferior choice, GD Library
- Memory allowed: Edit wp-config.php file to change performance.
- Maximum allowed time a script can run.
Image processing occurs in a few areas in the Symbiostock theme:
- Process Uploads (Note at top of screen, it will tell you if you are using GD or ImageMagic)
- Images Listing / Editing Area (“Bulk Options” dropdown, “Reprocess“)
Symbiostock checks to see if your server is using ImageMagick and if its not, it falls back to GD Library. Its highly advised you configure your server to use ImageMagic if it does not already. It uses less memory and generally produces better results. “Cheap” hosting using GD Library will give you much trouble with frequest script crashes, though will often still give satisfactory results in a good server environment.
If you can’t seem to break out of memory limitations, use BLUEHOST as your hosting company instead. BLUEHOST has the best cost/power ratio and Symbiostock sites do great on it.
The problem your having is tripping up in the GD Library watermarking class. Its a strange problem – and it could be anything – but just as a random shot we could try switching over to imagemagick which is more capable in many areas.
It could be tripping over a strange file too – another thing you can do is select the DELETE ALL FILES option in your image processor. This deletes the entire directory possibly wiping out some strange and confusing rogue/corrupt file that might be hiding (error log, corrupt image…)
February 19, 2014 at 12:50 am #7382Just a small note that this project will be one I take on now. I appreciate everyone’s patience on it.
February 18, 2014 at 11:48 pm #9733Latest version deployed!
February 18, 2014 at 11:47 pm #9843Noted, thanks. It would be nice to have a lot of filters set up for results, esp when someone has 10k images.

I would try “extension=/usr/bin/convert/imagick.so” or “extension=/usr/bin/imagick.so” in your php5.ini to see if you can access imagick.
Then take a close look at your watermark image. It needs to be exactly the specified size. Also, it needs to be there where the links in your settings points to. (Part of Ron’s problem, I think, was that the file got somehow deleted along with other files).
Nothing is working! I just tried to reprocess the image and got
Warning: imagecreatefromstring(): Data is not in a recognized format in /home/content/30/10419230/html/stock/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/symbiostock_image_processor.php on line 423
failed to copy/home/content/30/10419230/html/stock/symbiostock_rf/495.jpg...At least we have an error message I guess
Error messages are gold!
Before I go into depth, have you checked this out: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=1129A lot of problems can be solved through those considerations there. If not let me know.

Leo,
I miss a thread with all the updates explained. What have been added on each update and stuff like that. When I enter my WordPress Dashboard and find that a new update is available for Symbiostock I use to come to the forum to find out what’s new but always have a hard time in finding this information. Is there any thread or folder in the forum dedicated to explain the progress and modifications made on each update? Would be very much appreciated 🙂
Thanks for mentioning. I will post the update. Yesterday I spent most of the day stabilizing the .com site — its been a plague and I finally stopped it from crashing every 24 hours.
I’ll post the update and send out an email in the way we used to a year ago.
February 18, 2014 at 5:34 pm #9841You guys are awesome! Thats way more than I expected. Yesterday what prompted me to write this is one of those little yellow birds we have here ( I know, not very descriptive) was hanging out in our rafters. He could barely fly, but although he appeared full grown he had that “i’m a new bird” clumsiness.
I’m going to be out today, I suspect everything should be good on auto-pilot. Thanks for the info guys 🙂
February 18, 2014 at 7:51 am #9836I changed a few things. I did it so fast I don’t remember what it was. I also preloaded your cache.
For many I’d suggest just setting your cache expiration to some obnoxiously high number, then regenerating it whenever you want to do a significant upload/update.

Leo, do you have an idea what might be wrong with my settings … my latest images were updated immediately after I published new images 😕
Send me an admin — I’ll check it out.

Try again if you can. Clicking the links you just posted it seems they work fine. If you get any errors simply delete the ones that don’t go through (or correct the errors if its in your ability)
Interesting error on the feedburner one. I might have to add the Image Feed to the top of the header.
I tried a few times, tried researching for some solutions to no avail and tried changing “sitemap.xml” to “sitemap_index.xml” and got the same error messages each time. So far it is proving to be beyond my ability to correct (although I’m not surprised given my limited expertise in this area)
I guess I’ll just pull the ones that are not working while I continue to search for solutions.
This is really just bonus stuff. You won’t score 100% so don’t worry.
