Same here. I also can’t find out where the manual zip download is located to update it manually.

No problem lifting anything you like from my FAQ (do read it to make sure it all applies to you and your licensing!)

I think the etiquette is just to ask first, which you did 🙂 I’ve already offered my licenses and people have taken those to modify as their own. Just be aware that you’re responsible for what your site says, and if you discover I’ve said something truly idiotic, please tell me…

    LOL, will do, thanks!

My feeling is AdobeRGB is the better space… but…
For any agency supporting AdobeRGB in the previews I’ll upload AdobeRGB.
For any agency in the sRGB preview camp, then sRGB it is.
For SymbioStock, I’ve revised all of the thumbs and previews with AdobeRGB tagged images.
In the future, I’ll probably yield to the least common denominator and only upload sRGB from here on out with a note on the site such as our friend Jsnover has done.
On that note, I’d like to add a FAQ to my site such as Jsnover has.
Jsnover, what is the correct etiquette for using and/or changing what you have written there as it very closely matches my feelings as to what should be on a FAQ for my site?

Jsnover… why do you have to take the fun out of everything… 😉
Here I figured I had it all figured out and you had to go throw your very accurate monkey wrench into the works…
You have me thinking that other than iStock, everyone else including my Symbiostock site should all be sRGB. If the client asks for Adobe or Prophoto RGB we can deliver those on a per image basis. Too bad our site can’t give the user the option.

    Thanks CC.
I’m in the process of doing the same.
Downloaded all the previews via FTP and am resetting the AdobeRGB profile to them for the browsers to pick up.
Unfortunately Imagmagick is still stripping the information out 🙁 so if I want to upload AdobeRGB I’ll have to do this.

On another note…. I have the same issue with SS. Hard to believe in this day and age they simply drop the color profile off the files. I’ll probably do all new uploads there in sRGB. I have to go look and see which other sites handle it correctly and which need sRGB.

BTW, not sure about all of the other sites, but iStock handles it correctly.

    Bummer.
So the simplest but not the best solution right now is to upload in sRGB.

Dang, that is a LOT of work. The other question is what if a client downloads an image? Does the image contain the correct profile?

#8 Bulk edit… and #41 Rights managed should be moved into the high priority.

    What Lightroom plugin is needed?

I use the “Export” function of lightroom to upload my images (incl. title, caption and keywords) directly to the Symbiostock uploads FTP folder. All you have to do is “process & publish” the images inside WP.

Same here but a plugin would certainly help.
I actually use Lightroom with extensive smart folders and a publishing collections to keep things organized.

Having everything in Lightroom would just make it that much easier. You could simply upload from Lightroom and hopefully be done if it could also carry out the process and publish part.

There are two points of focus people seem to want the most:

    1. People want the batch editor to only assign chosen/selected attributes to a set of images per editing run.
    2. People want an easier licensing system.

Without a great deal of detail, I’ll let you know this is my next focus within a short time.

The LICENSE system is going to use a slightly more wordpress compatible system, where a LICENSE is going to be a custom post type, with its own options. Other than edit ability and simplicity, there should not be many changes.

And simply stated, the batch editor will have selection boxes to confirm which values are being assigned to the set of images in question.

So in a nutshell – we’re just cleaning up and simplifying.

Glad to read this. I just ran into the problem again in Batch Editor. As it is now I can’t use it because I don’t want to change the MR status as there are some with and some without MRs but I need to change the exclusivity status.

I’ll just wait on it until the update.

    Thanks Leo

    +1 LightRoom plugin.
The best would be a publisher plugin, so if the image was removed from the LR publisher folder it would be removed from online.
All fields should be included plus publisher states etc.

I’d like a client program, but I doubt many clients would use it as most would probably rather be in their browser.
If there was a client program it would be great for them to have a purchase history, light boxes etc.

I have the same problem. Go in and turn off the new cart manager until it gets updated. FYI, WP 3.7.1 did not fix this.

Will do, just left it on for a few moments so you could see. Off it is… thanks!

Just upgraded to 2.9.4 and turned back on the new cart, same problem, only 10 thumbnails show when in a category. If I deactivate the cart, my thumbnails return. The good news is the similar plugin works again. Thanks Leo.
