Thanks all for the help! I am away right now so will “play around” when I return to my main computer.
October 15, 2013 at 12:31 pm #4821Thanks for the responses, but it is a bit more than I expected 🙁
I was hoping I could just add some code to the Child Theme.
I am not at all familiar with coding but have poked around a bit with the child theme.
Christine, I’m guessing you are saying I need to go into my C-Panel, pick out the bootstrap.css page and open it in a text editor?
I’m also guessing you picked up the info from doing what Cathyslife (thanks) suggested?October 14, 2013 at 10:22 pm #4819Thanks for the reply but that is where I’ve already changed them all to black. I need to know the CSS code to change the other blocks. I have no idea of what they would be called.
October 14, 2013 at 8:48 pm #4817Thanks Christine for the comments. What I need to know is what is the actual code for the blocks. Anyone know?
October 14, 2013 at 8:20 pm #4815Thanks for responding though!
October 14, 2013 at 7:24 pm #4814I am on 2.8.0 I changed everything to black on the “Customize” page settings, yet some items on the images page remain a white background.
September 24, 2013 at 6:21 pm #3128Thanks but I keep getting an error when the code is within:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare symbiostock_image_results_per_page() (previously declared in /home
I’ve tried removing the entire child theme and reinstalling it. I used a text editor to drop it in as well as the editor within WP.
September 24, 2013 at 5:54 pm #3127Thank you. That is why I posted where I put it because I thought I may have made a mistake as I am not familiar with coding.
September 24, 2013 at 5:22 pm #3125I did. I pasted everything from under but not including “Here is the change:”
I pasted it below all of the following:
< ?php
//write your functions below, they will be added to Symbiostock’s functionality
//more on child theme function writing here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes?>
September 24, 2013 at 4:04 pm #3121The Symbiostock child does have a functions.php file already. I pasted the above code into it but nothing changed.
September 24, 2013 at 2:58 pm #3119Any idea of how to do it with the default child theme?
September 23, 2013 at 6:25 am #3104An aha moment!
I forgot about that! Thanks, that will work perfectly.@jsnover wrote:
This isn’t a general solution, but it will work with one image per gallery. The rank system (1,2,3) will let you control what’s up front as long as the rest of your work isn’t rank #1.
I just tried this with the Beaches and Family links from my front page to those categories. Making the images showing on the front page show up first in the results was achieved by making them rank #1.
Will that help?
September 23, 2013 at 5:55 am #3102Yea, thanks for digging that up, but that is not quite what I’m interested in. I’m running Symbio 2.6.5 and as far as I can tell I do not see any duplicates.
On my Symbio home page I’m running a plug in that enables me to have a grid of photos that when clicked leads to a specified category. The problem is since the image is clickable and leads to a gallery, I would like that image to be the first image in the gallery so a potential client does not have to search the gallery to find that particular image.
September 18, 2013 at 8:26 pm #2859I’d help too if needed. East coast also.
