It’s still got some bugs…
Just used it to reprocess all my images with new licenses – worked fine.
Then tried to update just my Vectors category and append the words “Stock Vector” to the end of them, yet all show up with my default “Stock Photo” instead. Plus, I only ticked that one box to amend, but it stripped out my licenses from all vectors, which means it was reading data from that field and saw that nothing was checked so removed the licenses entirely.
Clearly it needs some work still.

I always get a little scared when I see these “starting from scratch/trashing it all” threads that pop up occasionally.
We need to give Symbiostock in its current form time to grow and develop. There are plenty of bugs (big and small, mentioned in various threads) that really need ironing out. It may not be fun, but it needs to happen.
I really do thank you Leo for all that you have done. It is amazing to say the least. Please please please keep plugging away at it and fixing up the remaining bugs and then adding the most requested features, before looking to re-make the whole thing.

Also, is anyone else noticing that when browsing pages of images such as here:
http://thpstockphotos.com/image-type/signs-symbols-icons-images/
and going between pages, that sometimes thumbnails don’t show up at all for some images? Not sure if its a Bluehost issue or a theme issue, but its not predictable and seems very random. Even some images when clicked on will not load on the image page, but if you refresh the page it works.?

word fence is a security measure and has nothing to do with the version of symbiostock. It includes a firewall as well as security checks daily.
It will be a good thing. Just wondering which settings people are using to make it function the best.

I just had to purchase an image at Stockfresh the other day for the first time and this is EXACTLY how the process works over there. A big link saying something like “get your downloads” on the page that paypal returns you too. It’s very logical.
Oh and also +1 for removing that stray “r” 🙂
Actually, make it a BIG +1 for all his 3 opening suggestions. They would improve things quite well.

the big grey Symbiostock box at the top needs some work. It’s way too big and pushes all the relevant info far down the page. Think this needs a redesign.

Just a little extra on the safari conflicts, as mentioned in #2 in my post above, not only does the customizer not work for making changes and seeing it live, but even if you make the change in Chrome (which does work) its not reflected properly in safari.
eg: see http://thpstockphotos.com in both safari and chrome. Notice the footer & footer widgets are white in chrome (as its meant to be) and the footer area around the widgets is grey on safari

Ok have the latest 2.8.9 version and heres a couple of issues that still exist…
1. As was mentioned above, LICENSES need work. They aren’t applied on upload. This has to happen. They also need to be reflected in the cart area and emails appropriately.
2. Safari seems to have issues with the customiser when it comes to the various gradient options for panels – they don’t work. In chrome it does, safari (6.0.5) it doesn’t.
3. Love the direction with the improved signup process. In the green bar that shows up and says “Registration Successful. Your cart area is here” the alt tag for the link is buggy. The mousover on it displays “Your cart area is here” with the tags visible in the text.
4. As being discussed in the other thread, the grey bar for a new user (firefox) is not visible, thus no way to change password or other details.

I was in the same boat yesterday, needed an image ASAP for a website I’m building for a client and searched Symbiostock first. Sadly I couldn’t find what I needed so ended up at Stockfresh instead. But hopefully as more people get on board we will get a greater pool of images to choose from.
