Great that you figured it out.
I agree wholeheartedly; I think it’s really underexposed to people. The video distribution especially is a huge thing for me. I have found that 20% of the time, Shutterstock, for example, doesn’t even process my video properly. If I had to manually upload it every time I’d go mad. Being able to just click a button and do it is literally a necessity for me to maintain sanity.
October 5, 2015 at 10:40 pm #24212Hi there –
1) Are you on Symbiostock PLUS? If not, then you can’t publish footage. Right now, there is no technical way to bundle Symbiostock standalone with the ability to deal with footage.
2) If you are on PLUS, as long as you have licenses whose filters apply to video media, and you uploaded it via the Symbiostock web uploader or FTP, you should have no issue.
The error you are experiencing is a WooCommerce one; it means you have no licenses attached to that particular product. I am guessing you are not on PLUS, in which case you cannot publish footage (although you can publish footage using WooCommerce alone, but you would manually have to create the thumbnails, upload the video, and you would have no video preview).
October 5, 2015 at 10:34 pm #24211Wonderful, wonderful designs – I love the first banner that pops up on your site. Be sure to add your site to the Artist Network with an image from your designs. Great to have such a talented vector artist on Symzio as well.

You’re welcome to submit a support request here:
http://www.symbiostock.org/support-request/
This whole portion of the Symbiostock engine is managed by WooCommerce, so if there is a bug, it is a WooCommerce bug. My best suggestion would be to try doing a purchase without using sandbox mode to see if the same issue occurs. I have experienced issues sometimes where sandbox mode does not send IPNs correctly.
October 4, 2015 at 7:25 am #24201Hi there – thanks for the questions
Regarding the CMYK:

Regarding Symzio:

I’ve gone in and passed your Symzio application and you should receive your sync code shortly. Symzio should then connect to your site within the next couple of days, and you should be good to go.

For themes, this means the conditional tag will never work properly if you are using it in the body of functions.php.
September 26, 2015 at 1:40 am #24151September 26, 2015 at 1:40 am #24150Symbiostock does not alter the way tags are stored by WooCommerce or WordPress so if it is not working, it likely has nothing to do with Symbiostock. I briefly read the codex page on conditional tags and see that it has some restrictions in bold – you may have to ensure that it is being called at the right time to be effective.
September 24, 2015 at 11:52 pm #24143None of the captchas I’ve used are bug free. However, I suggest you use one that uses Google’s Re-captcha service. We have that enabled on the PLUS servers and we don’t get any spam that gets through.
I can’t remember right now, but I’m pretty sure I did some extensive testing and found this one to be the most effective:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-recaptcha-integration/
Again, not entirely bug free.
September 24, 2015 at 1:25 am #24139You can post queries about new versions here, but from now on we are only going to support new versions periodically. The reason for this is when they released 2.4, they introduced a large number of bugs that broke live sites – specifically related to licensing. They then fixed this by 2.4.4 many days later.
Due to that, we can’t rely on their releases to be bug free, nor can we determine immediately whether any issues that do arise are due to our incompatibility with the new version, or a bug with their release. We simply don’t have the manpower to debug each release they make in real time.
So the compatible version we are going to support will always be listed here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/symbiostock/installation/
We will also be creating a page here, on Symbiostock.org, explaining most of this stuff as well. Finally, unless there is an explicitly necessary reason to upgrade, the current stable version should provide 100% functionality for our stock media needs.
So my suggestion is learn to ignore the WooCommerce update prompt – in fact, I would edit the WooCommerce plugin itself and change the version to 999 so that the prompt goes away and you don’t accidentally upgrade; it can rarely be reversed if database changes take place.
