Ah, so the bulk edit on the website works for you then? In which case there has to be an issue within my Symbiostock.

No chance whatsoever of me having the knowledge to fix a bug but at least I now know where the problem is. Before it could have been Woo, WordPress or Symbiostock.

Thank you – maybe Robin can help with this?

Thanks for your reply Hebstreit but No 1 I don’t understand at all and No 2 I don’t have Adobe anything, so can’t use that.

I can’t understand why applying a category is shown as an option in Bulk Edit yet it doesn’t actually do anything. Thanks anyway

    Hi Robin,

Can you help me out please – I have just suffered a major issue on my laptop and had to do an image restore back to 8th November from 21st November. All is now up and running but I have lost everything I didn’t think to save separately between those dates. Symbiostock Express was a download ordered 15th November (Order #31628), it didn’t occur to me to save it and has gone.

On “Orders” in my account I find I have reached my download limit of 1, cannot install the theme on the second site I mentioned above and therefore can’t begin work on it, This is fairly urgent please so would be grateful if you could reset it on the account so I can download again?

    Thanks – Mike

Thanks Robin – I’ll explore Woo Commerce – also new to me.

Thanks Robin – it does now seem to be working OK, if a bit slow, but I do have one of the slowest broadband speeds in the UK at about 5mbs for upload. Now I understand it it’s not a problem as I just left them cooking overnight and 500 were done in about six hours I think. I think I was expecting them all to be visible immediately the upload had finished – my mistake and thanks for your trouble

Think I’ve partially solved this issue – it might be useful for other newbies to know:

The image IS there although it shows “draft” and no picture shows. It needs to be assigned a category in “Edit” and then published – the image then shows in that category on the live site. It’s not visible in the standard WordPress. Media library as it would normally be when uploading.

Once that was understood, so far so good.

The issue about the scheduler is something else.

After extensive emails between my excellent host guy (I’ve been with him for many years and get a superb service) I’ve in fact realised myself that the scheduler is just incredibly slow, and whether set to manual or via a cron job every minute, it’s going to process only one or two images in each cycle. As I need to upload 600 small (600 pixel) images for one site it’s going to take loads of time – like 10 hours at the rate of one each minute.

The point is that if you keep refreshing the Symbiostock Media folder they will appear – just incredibly slowly. It’s an overnight job. I’m used to simply uploading images to a gallery folder and that’s it – job done. Clearly an entirely different system here, and I can’t say I’m impressed,, but it may of course be something I haven’t yet understood.

If anyone can suggest a better way of doing this before I completely lose the will to live I’d be grateful. When I come to rebuild my main site there will be thousands of images, so it’s a problem,

Found it – adding media products in documentation – thanks. Now I just have to work out how I add the product to the category I created……………

Got It! Thanks Songuan – looking good for the little I’ve had time to play today http://www.norfolkvillagesigns.com The plan is to get this new little site up and running – there will only be a book for sale and images on a particular subject – and then will make a start on the main one when I know what I’m doing.

OK so I managed to create a category but how do I create products to go into it? I’ve explored Woocommerce, Symbiostock Express and Symbiostock – all I could find were product settings. This is anything but intuitive I’m finding.

    Any help welcome

    Hi Songuan,

Thanks so much – makes perfect sense although I haven’t been able to try it yet. (I got waylaid with duties). It seems a very attractive theme altogether so far.

Thanks Robin – I had figured that out and also spoke to Songquan of Best City Scape who said he thought that was so. You probably realise I have gone ahead (other post about slideshow)

    Hi Robin,

Yes I did follow the instructions. I’ve just discovered if I change the images in the demo one (the dog and the other one (can’t now remember!) for two of my own, it works perfectly. Put the same images in the new slider I created and it doesn’t slide at all. I’ve checked as far as I can the style/settings are the same but no luck.

Any ideas and how do I change the name of an existing slider as that would do it – at the moment I have two sliders named Demo 1 Simple?

    Hi Robin,

Many thanks for that. Forgive me for being a bit thick, but I’m not entirely familiar with the concept (and WordPress is very new to me) – does that mean that although the “paid for” Express theme can be used on two or more sites the actual Symbiostock Pro that is needed to make it work could not, or am I misunderstanding?

    Mike
