Much, much prefer Symbiostock to Ktools, CMS account and even Photoshelter.
Much easier to get the site looking good and use, I’ve bought and used the others and Symbio is the only one I want to put my energy into now 🙂
October 25, 2013 at 12:43 am #5318If you are going down this road wouldn’t a lightroom plugin be easier to manage uploads?
October 25, 2013 at 12:41 am #4572Off definitely.
Now everyone is beginning to upload their ports in force it’s slowing down search queries from within the sites.
Also it would be no bad thing to encourage site owners to ‘Rank’ their images so the best six are seen first. Keep the arrows by all means as long as they don’t load up image queries in the background, best to keep database queries light IMO.
October 24, 2013 at 1:34 am #5884The above menu doesn’t support drop down items, I would keep this simple contact and login. Main menu supports drop downs so you can organise navigation better.
You can see from my site – http://www.travelwitness.net – to give you an idea.
Also I would hold off on using the Dragonfly theme until the wrinkles have been ironed out, just use the main theme for now.
October 20, 2013 at 11:39 pm #5042Still some slight image page issues with Dragonfly.
Image sizes box border right side runs to the edge of the page.
Large Image box border left side runs to the edge of the page.
Padding issues with Similar Images widget.
Logo header has padding left and right, would prefer it be full width for design flexibility.
Can’t seem to change the colours of the footer.
Strange grads on search results when pulling up network images.http://www.travelwitness.net/image/idyllic-rural-farmland-cotswolds-uk-16/
Suggestion
Is it possible to include a navigation configuration so the account/search menu can be under the header and also have activate the main menu above the header.
Design wise it would be more intuitive to have the search/account info in the main menu, here I can add categories, extended licence page and any image related info.
The second menu activated at the top to keep secondary info like news, terms @ conditions, contact info etc.
One more really useful option would be able to choose the highlight link colour, I guess this affects the colour of the search button as well?
Theme is looking very good overall now – feel free to ignore the suggestions they are only minor 🙂
October 18, 2013 at 1:36 am #4984Image page wonkyness using Dragonfly > Slate
Rest of it works fine.
What is the CSS code to change the highlight link, Download button and Search colours. Be nice to match them to my logo 🙂
Love the direction this all moving, looking much slicker now – it’s come a long way.
October 18, 2013 at 1:13 am #5243I’m not sure all the Dragonfly themes are compatible with the Meta Theme.
The image page layouts and similar images widgets padding seem to go wonky when trying the different options.Front page, menus and fonts work OK with several I’ve tried.
October 18, 2013 at 12:11 am #5312For site owners.
FTP and Image management, categories, keywords etc – Deepmeta style. For Designers and buyers
Search and lightbox management
Easy purchasing from multiple sitesIs this the kind of thing you mean?
Don’t spin too many plates though!
The latest Symbio version with Dragonfly is a quantum leap, keep refining this. Seriously it could become the goto platform for many, many photographers and illustrators. Love the direction it is heading in 🙂October 7, 2013 at 10:14 pm #3733Just tried the latest version.
Seems to be a conflict with the header image function with the header link in the ‘Settings’ panel.
My header banner is scaled, image is full width?
Still have grads on the search results.
Apart from a few minor bugs is looking very much polished now, good work 🙂
October 3, 2013 at 8:27 pm #3702Great job Leo!
Definitely much more user friendly and much slicker looking than the last versions 🙂

Couple of bugs tho…
Footer
Copyright info has a border (at very bottom of page) and background colour
Widgets – in footer – have their background colour affected when changing the Heading colours?
Be nice if the footer was the same width as the main body 🙂
Also would be good to have the option of changing the colour of the thin bar across the footer – to match logo branding.Pages
Blue outlined box appears at the bottom of a ‘page’…

Referral links
I can’t seem to fill these in as blank.
Any chance of an option to toggle them on or off?
Or make it into a Widget so it can be moved around?Image pages
Extended licence button – not aligned left
Extended licence info button – stalled link – just hangs
Can’t seem to get the ‘featured images’ widget to work – could be user error on my part 🙂
Similar images works fineNetwork results
Gradient pattern every other row
Personally I would rather see all the results from the network in a grid under a heading ‘Results from the Symbiostock Network’ or similar – without their network owner names.
Or be able to switch off the sliding network results, I think 6 images or so from each network is plenty for a customer browsing. The sliding images make it feel a bit restless.
Ranked images
I think AJT or Cascoly mentioned this already, but ranked images don’t filter out to the wider network – they only work in site.
Suggestion for the Content filter
Maybe change it from Green, Orange and Red to None or Off, Exclude Nude Content, Exclude Nude & Adult Content.
Or just have it Adult Filter On or Off
Its a bit confusing the way it is, I’m not sure how it works.__________________________________________________
Love the customisation panels, makes playing with the menu layout a breeze and much more intuitive.
Shaping up to be a serious contender!
Excellent work 🙂
I’m using 2.71, had a play with it today…
