I tried to find keyword with less number or results (the issue is not (?) visible when results have pagination numbers) and found Lincoln 🙂

I see it when I follow your links but if I search for the same keywords the pages are okay

symbiostock info is normally almost instantaneous – but is slow and bitty in responding – some images show, then others, then one or two

Edit: my search was from my own site for Caterpillar

Images come directly from their sites, so maybe these sites were slow (or your connection with them).

I was just going to suggest Caterpillar on my site – I only have 5 images for that keyword, but it seems to show OK on my site with a normal search, but if I type the search directly into the URL: http://www.backyardstockphotos.com/search-images/caterpillar/

Then I get the grey box. So it must be something to do with that specific page.

I tried the same thing with the word “washington” instead of Caterpillar – that works fine, because there are multiple pages of results.

That problem is fixed now. Just update or get it here:

Still some slight image page issues with Dragonfly.

Image sizes box border right side runs to the edge of the page.
Large Image box border left side runs to the edge of the page.
Padding issues with Similar Images widget.
Logo header has padding left and right, would prefer it be full width for design flexibility.
Can’t seem to change the colours of the footer.
Strange grads on search results when pulling up network images.

    Suggestion

Is it possible to include a navigation configuration so the account/search menu can be under the header and also have activate the main menu above the header.

Design wise it would be more intuitive to have the search/account info in the main menu, here I can add categories, extended licence page and any image related info.

The second menu activated at the top to keep secondary info like news, terms @ conditions, contact info etc.

One more really useful option would be able to choose the highlight link colour, I guess this affects the colour of the search button as well?

Theme is looking very good overall now – feel free to ignore the suggestions they are only minor 🙂

    One thing I noticed in the “Info” on an image page. If you click that, you see how many images etc. but it says “Contact Leo” instead of “Contact Steve”. It links to my About Page, but Leo seems to be everywhere in this project! (-;

I had that for awhile too. I’m not sure how I fixed it but I think it may have been when I changed Leo from having Admin status to Subscriber. If you have him as an admin try changing him to Subscribe. You may have to click the check boxes to update the public network and image info (on the Symbiostock network tab)

    Updated to 2.8.7

    I see two problems:

    – The network search results show up in random order. I have symbiostock. info in my first network slot but it does not appear directly under the search results of my own site.

    – The featured images show up in random order. Every time I refresh my site it looks different. In earlier versions of Symbiostock it was possible to define the order by changing the date of publishing

Leo, how do we get rid of those grey gradients in sliders that overlay the images. They are in latest images as well as results? See post 73 in this thread for picture.

When searching with more than one keyword you get
No Results found. Try browsing the categories.
when there is more than one space character between the keywords.

I’ve made an option for this, now it’s waiting for Leo acceptation (or not :)).
The advantage of random order is that results are shown in not “true random” order really, but in order they arrive from network sites, so people aren’t waiting long for first results, they are often almost immediately. In order of sites as entered in network list, code waits for results from all sites first (up to 5s), then displays them (and sometimes waits again for slow responding sites, but this happen in random order too).

I do understand the need to evolve, but I would like to see important problems be addressed first before continuing to add features that dont make the money. The licencing is what makes us money, at the moment the licencing system is not working, that needs to be addressed asap. Pretty stuff can be done later 🙂
