Hi Leo, and thanks for thinking of ways to improve SYS for us nature photogs!
I think I’d like the feature you’re talking about. Don’t understand exactly how it would work, but if it’s something we could easily learn to do, then yes, I’m game.
I hope you’re doing well these days and earning good $$$ while also having fun with the next great upgrade to SYS!
May 18, 2014 at 1:55 pm #10284One problem with this poll: the lowest category is $0.01 – $5, so somebody with $0 in sales has nowhere to report that fact.
Was that intentional or just an oversight?

I’d love an opinion: I’d like to *require* people to use imagemagick for the sake of simplicity. Thoughts?
Sounds like a good idea, but it seems that some hosting sites don’t provide imagemagick.
I don’t have a clue about imagemagick. Currently, I process my images in Lightroom with additional fine tuning as needed in Photoshop. I’m very happy with my workflow and the product it produces.
Does imagemagick replace those? Is it going to be something complicated to learn?

Aha! A fine photographer… and a scholar too. 🙂
Thank you again, Sandor, for calling my attention to something that should have been obvious. As we say here in the States: Duh!!!

That’s weird.
The second attempt to login worked and everything seems to be ok.Glad you managed to get in! There’s something screwy about this WP update, because several people on the WP support forum have reported failed attempts to log in.
I’m just glad to be able to log in again.

did you upload images AND posts?
i have images uploaded, but no posts and i assume an image is not seen as a post;
my postsection is like this, but my sys-site is ok
Hi Sandor,
Now that is a very good question! I do still have my image pages, accssed through the stock images section. I’ve always assumed those were posts, but you’re right… I’ve never actually created a post because I don’t blog from this site.
So yes, now that I think of it, I do believe my site is 100% back to normal now. Whatever happened yesterday afternoon seems to have fully restored it.
Thank you for that smart and should-have-been-obvious-to-me suggestion!

I had 4 sites auto-upgrade to wp 3.9.1 and all are working fine
I’d suspect a plugin somewhere
Maybe, but I haven’t changed my plugins lately. But… thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check it out!

did you log-in again?
as i’m used to be logged in automatic, it sometimes confuse me that i have to log in againYes, it was when I logged in that I found my Dashboard had disappeared. Really weird!
May 11, 2014 at 9:17 pm #11175Thank you, Leo and Sandor! I really do appreciate your support.
I hadn’t checked my site in a few hours until just now. Here’s the latest:
Things have improved., and I can access my Dashboard. Hooray!!! The stock photos, pages, plugins, etc. are all still there and appear to be up to date.
However, the Posts section shows “No posts found,” which is clearly not correct since I’ve uploaded approximately 1700 posts with my images. So the Posts section seems to be the snag at this point.
I’m willing to wait and see if perhaps the site will restore itself completely in the next few hours. Perhaps somebody’s actively working on the 3.9.1 plugin behind the scenes.
If it isn’t back by tomorrow morning, Leo, I will take you up on your kind offer. I truly-truly don’t want to interrupt your life on a Sunday, and especially not on Mother’s Day. Not a good strategy if you want to have a happy wife! 🙂
I’ll get back with a further report either way if things do/don’t get better.
From New Mexico… !Muchas gracias!
May 11, 2014 at 3:33 pm #11174FYI, I just found this page reporting the same problem:

Now you can do general uploads or specific uploads (such as updating an image with a better file you may have edited)
That sounds like a fabulous upgrade!
I don’t have the technical expertise to understand much of the rest of your report, but I’m sure it’s all good.
Many thanks, Leo, for continuing to stay involved with this project. I’m glad you’re getting “paid work” these days. Can’t live without it!

After a very long dry spell, I had a nice surprise – an extended license on a Large sale – so $70 ($67.67 after PayPal takes its cut). I haven’t had an EL before.
Jo Ann, that is outstanding! What an inspiration. Could you share a link to the image with us?
