Thanks, Redneck, for your suggestion. It sounded like a good one so I did it. But… the site goes back to the status quo ante. No slide. No menu. And Christine’s long info at the bottom.

So, I’ll deactive SYX again and go back to at least having a slide show and no stuff at the bottom.

Tomorrow is another day! 🙂

Thanks for that advice, Redneck. Glad to know it’s not just my bad wifi, although that might be an easier thing to cope with.

I took your advice and deactivated SYxtra. The results are visible on the site now: http://bestnaturestock.com/

The slide show has reappeared. Hooray! And the misc info about Christine’s URL move has disappeared from the bottom. That’s great!

But the Menu bar still shows just “Home.” I’ll have to redo the menu items I had in the footer, and also figure out a way to make the nice PayPal graphic I had on every image page show up there. Those aren’t critical things to lose, but…

Why would the presence or absence of that plugin suddenly change my site? I hadn’t upgraded to the latest version. Hadn’t touched the plugins at all.

I’m really baffled about this!

A couple of months back, I called Bluehost and told them of my problem uploading images larger than 10 MB. The nice techie made that change on his end, and I’ve never had a problem with it again.

Actually, last night I resubmitted both of my sitemaps, and this morning my Google WT shows I have ZERO images submitted, with both URLS shown as “pending.” Yikes!!

This was all discussed once before, and the answers were different than what ajt is saying. I looked to find the thread, but it was probably a side discussion on a thread titled for something else, so won’t be found.

As far as your images not being indexed, click on the sitemap and go in one more step and I think you will see your images. This happened to me yesterday…mine said something like pending on the crawl>sitemaps page, but when I clicked on the actual sitemap, all was OK.

It isn’t a mistake to resubmit your sitemaps through webmaster tools. Yes, they update automatically, but you can resubmit manually whenever. It shows pending because it won’t update until the next crawl or whenever. Don’t panic, there is usually more than one answer to a question.

And I just rechecked my Google WT and found all my indexed images still there. So… no harm done!

I’ve noticed that leveling off too and wondered if having our own SYS forum may put us “out of sight, out of mind” as regards the larger MSG community.

It’s a great idea to have this forum for our communication needs, but not if it means we disappear from view on that other, larger network… which is where new SYS prospects hang out.

Also, I’m having some difficulty finding my way around this forum. Haven’t yet figured out where to go to start a new thread. Anybody care to point me in that direction?
