That bar at the bottom that shows “Howdy, User Name” is gone on my test site with 2.8.9. Are you on version 2.8.9 Jo? Do others see it with version 2.8.9?

Yip, I saw the upgrade available when I got home this afternoon and upgraded. I love new toys LOL! The bar is now sometimes at the top and on some pages at the bottom.

I used an account I created to sandbox test Payal, I used a different browser so it is not thinking I am admin, just changed the password (twice), logged out and back in with the new password.
One thing I have noticed is that the grey bar is sometimes at the top and some pages it is at the bottom but just direct your users to click on the “Howdy, your name” bit. Damn I need to change it and keep forgetting LOL!

How does the user change his password? I do not see the customary bar at the bottom or any link to take the customer to his profile to change his password.
I was thinking about adding the link into the text for the welcome email. That way they could just click the link and change the password when they viewed the welcome email.

The user/buyer clicks on Top Right Hand Corner > Edit My Profile and scroll down to “About Yourself”. You can enter a new password there.

Youtube does just delete content if it thinks you are infringing on music copyrights. Someone who sails (on the ocean hehe) and shoots some amateur videos had his videos all deleted without warning because of it.

I think every sale is good news. Success is always a good thing and should not be dismissed. I’m sure we are just seeing the ball start to roll now as we all start up

Actually that wont work>I wanted to show all my sub categories so I made my own Categories / Sub Categories page and I’m not linking to the site generated Categories page.
You could do the same – making a page showing only the categories you want to show and not linking to the site generated page.
Yes, the site categories page automatically populates itself. I rather like the new look Categories page though hehe. Even though the subcategories are alphabetically reversed I think it’s great.
Thanks for the idea though. I hadn’t thought to create a manual page of categories.

I’m afraid I can’t think of anything else but that there is a conflict between the Theme and either a plugin, or a customisation in the child theme? My knowledge of code is limited.
