Done! And that is a great article. Well done!
October 17, 2013 at 6:28 am #4969If thats a theme issue I’ll get it covered. Last I knew it was still up in the air as to whether it was a theme or site issue.
I wonder if our silent heros AJT or Cascoly have seen anything?
October 17, 2013 at 6:27 am #5261This is done by configuring your menues. Admin->Appearance-> Menus.
You have to create a menu with a set of destinations, and then assign the menu to a location in the theme. This theme has the Header and Cart/Account location.
Its best if you don’t put anything in the account/cart menu…just leave it blank with the default account/login buttons.

On the Author information drop down is an option for Gallery page. This is a link to:

Unfortunately I don’t have this. Can you point me to where I can create this?
This is in your user settings –> bottom of page.

Just uptdated to 2.8.2 without any problems … first thing I realized: The product table and community links changed from blue to grey: I LOVE IT 🙂
I installed dragonfly as well, but as I won’t have much time today I don’t dare to activate it right now … I guess activation of dragonfly will override my css, right?
You can move your CSS right into dragonfly (below all the other css) using the Admin->Appearance->Edit option.
When Symbio was first put out there it had the “Symbiostock Child Theme” available for those who wanted to customize. This Dragonfly one replaces it, being far more flexible and useful.
October 17, 2013 at 5:47 am #5242Good deal. While your still setting up try out this child theme: http://www.symbiostock.com/dragonfly-new-symbiostock-child-theme/
It gives you 11 base appearances to build on and is immune to upgrades 😀
October 17, 2013 at 4:17 am #5240I would deactivate Syxtra until Plrang gives it some attention again.
If you don’t have any heavy child theme implentations, you should be fine to just upgrade. Be sure to refresh your browser (retrieving the new style sheet) first thing when you view the new site.
October 17, 2013 at 3:55 am #4963I’ve updated the 2.8.2 link for you.
October 17, 2013 at 1:51 am #5227I saw someone attempting a dark theme on their site – it was sort of well…
…I hope this helps them.
Update one more time. I made the blue boxes default ones so as not to interfere with these sub-themes.
October 17, 2013 at 1:39 am #49612.8.2 https://github.com/orangeman555/symbiostock/blob/metamorphosis/symbiostock.zip?raw=true
Bug fixes, layout fixes, and a new child theme (Dragonfly) which can be seen here:
http://www.symbiostock.org/topic/334/child-theme-symbiostock-dragonfly-11-different-looks/
October 17, 2013 at 1:35 am #5225This theme should also function along side the customizer, though it may take precidence in many areas. In your Symbiostock customizer change everything to default values or attempt to simply match the general appearance of this child theme’s chosen style.
October 16, 2013 at 9:53 pm #1991My anonymous Symbiostock buddy got about 6 sales in the last few days! I guess its becoming pretty regular for him now.

Leo, not a bug, and obviously not a priority.. but is it possible to add customization options for buttons?
it would be perfect if we could change the colors of the “search” and “download” buttons without needing to use a child theme..
Hey everyone – I’m almost done this list.
Regarding your question – I’m going to make some child-theme CSS snippets for little things like this.
October 16, 2013 at 6:06 am #4945Noted!
And someone just reminded me that the padding is lacking in a few areas like the logo area and breadcrumbs.
October 15, 2013 at 11:43 pm #5115PS there’s a few other tweakies I have to do on the site.
