When you switch your theme, it will always “stuff” it up. Widget locations and menus are memorized per-theme.
October 25, 2013 at 8:36 am #5984The new version of wordpress throws it off???
October 25, 2013 at 7:25 am #5673Soon I can probably go through a list of “please remove” things such as hr tags. I saw your other post regarding the author page as well.
October 25, 2013 at 7:22 am #6122October 25, 2013 at 6:52 am #5871I’m glad to hear everyone’s mostly happy. I’m going to keep up with Symbio development, but for a fact its time to slow down for everyone’s sake. But really its the product of many efforts besides my own, and I do appreciate it! Thanks guys.

Your site is looking great. The only things I did on your site earlier today was upload/toggle thems, adjust your menus, and upon returning I adjusted your top menu to look cleaner. I’m impressed that Syxtra plugin is working so nicely. I thought it was officially broken.

Got it! I had to leave today, and you were working on your site as I was working on it, so I wasn’t sure if I’d been given the project yet. I’ll go check things now.

Leo I need help please. I have updated to the most recent versions of WP, theme and pro-plugin but my 6 featured images in the side-bar still are presented one below the other what looks really weird. Please tell me what to do to get them back to a block of 2×3 images.
Simply pasting this into your child theme (toward the bottom) will help:
.widget .search-result {
float: left;
height: 160px;
margin-left: 10px;
min-width: 160px;
}October 25, 2013 at 1:10 am #5671Actually if I had ONE wish for Symbio-web-masters its they get comfortable with child-theming and css. No joke. If anyone wants to start up a FUN group on that that would be awesome awesome awesome. Symbiostock’s next rung of evolution could actually be you all and not me. Visuals are very very important.
I’ve put a lot of work into the engine, and to some degree into the look, but you guys could really bring Symbio to the next level.
Symbio could be the future – but we need some nice body technicians in the game now: http://www.cuded.com/2011/05/20-amazing-futuristic-cars/
This theme is so beautifully classed out that its hard to find something you can’t specifically alter.
For starters, get familiar here:
Then here:

Literally, this theme deceives the eyes. You don’t realize its capable of being round, square, shadowed, flat, modern UI… its literally CSS.
Example:
http://www.colorzilla.com/gradient-editor/ <– this alone could create the most beautiful UI elements such as the navbars, headers, etc.
I wish some people could open up a css Symbio-body shop and get busy. It would leave the industry in the dust.
October 25, 2013 at 12:13 am #5969Its ok, I don’t need donation but thanks! Let me check out your site again and see if I can throw a few widgets in a few boxes.
October 24, 2013 at 11:49 pm #5964TY! I’m going to take some time off pretty soon and let things settle. I think we’re at the point of comfort where some things can ride, but its not life or death to get to them immediately.
Ezeepics, I was working on your site and noticed some things changing around, so perhaps your working too.
The rest is easy for you – you should have some fun.
— First, settle on a child theme, and choose the sub-appearance if you wish.
— Put your menus in order.
— Establish your homepage.
— Put your widgets in order.Keep Plrang’s plugin OFF until he updates it. He probably hates me for it 😀
October 24, 2013 at 11:15 pm #5086Thanks for the update. Browsers are browsers…they can’t be mastered, only worked around. If something inhibits any essential process or *really* screws up the site let me know.
October 24, 2013 at 11:06 pm #5890The unity design is pretty good, but i’m only aware of one tweak it needs:
.navbar.ss-top-anchored {
background-color: #333333;
background-image: none;
border: medium none;
box-shadow: none;
margin-bottom: 0;
}Change “background-color” to anything you want.

There is a possibility to not send the password via email?
Its pretty standard to have the password sent to them the way it is. WordPress does it out of the box. To over-ride that would make more adjustment issues – every new feature tends to cause me to have to rebalance something else.
October 24, 2013 at 10:58 pm #6105It would be better to simply perfect the responsive aspect of the theme (which is something we’ve been doing)
I tried a few experiments, but it would require quite an overhaul.
