I plan on doing an email blast when I’ve made more progress on things as a whole — the email list I had developed since Symbio’s early conception. I’m also going to be using some special alternative methods to getting attention toward Symbiostock. Its a done deal 😀

To add a little momentum, though, I’ll add the facebook link to the theme itself in various places.

This might be related to the batch editor issue, I’ll keep this one in mind today as well.

the keyword delete all has been there from the beginning — I confirmed it over several versions

when testing I found a keyword that had only a few uses, then used batch to try to delete from several of them -0 it alwas deleted the entire keyword (same for category)

I have a test site and added 16 images to it. I added one keyword to all the images and a different one to 6. I then used the batch editor to delete one or both of those keywords from selected images. I checked that the remaining images kept their keywords both by doing a new search in the batch editor and by visually inspecting the image pages.

Whatever the bug is, there’s some other factor required to make it happen

I did notice some very odd behavior, however.

I removed selected keywords that had been read from IPTC when the image was uploaded from a few images. In one case I removed all an image’s keywords. When I did a batch editor search for a removed keyword, the images that no longer had that keyword still showed up!

If I went to the site to search for the missing keyword (and I picked one, horizontal, that doesn’t show up in the description or title) the images were found even though the keyword was gone – and that included the image that had no keywords at all.

So, the keywords added with the batch editor were subtracted as expected (and the images were no longer found by the batch editor or a search on the site). But keywords that had been there when the image was uploaded acted for search purposes as if they were still there, although they did not show up on the image page if you looked at it.

Thanks for PMing me. I would have missed this otherwise! Very good — I’m glad to have someone find this. I couldn’t reproduce it. Even still, I’m going to have to read your post about 10 times to see what exactly you did – I still don’t get it! I’ll be working on this today.

A big “LOL” to that! You have no idea how timely this thread is! In more ways than one. Looks like your going to get more than you bargained for for a response though! Get some popcorn.

There are many examples in the Stock Photo business where negative publicity causes it to thrive. Like, for instance, if I were the largest Stock Photo company in existence, I might make a more intelligent decision than putting Lobo as the main influence in my community hub. Negative publicity man, people love it.. ! Then there is MSG — no explanation needed. 😀

But actually, that might imply that there is some method to my madness, which there isn’t. Thats not my reason for the present twitter feed.

The REAL answer is that I’m SOOOOOOOOO busy, that I don’t have time to manage a Twitter feed. And you have to understand, as far as I’m concerned that twitter feed IS my world of Symbiostock. You can imagine, then, why some days the logo itself would want to make me vomit!

I was going somewhere productive with this… what was it…

Last night I couldn’t sleep, so I took a walk in the forest. You’d be amazed at how many wild rats Hawaii has. I never fully appreciated it until lastnight.

    No that wasn’t it…

    OH YEAH, Now I remember!

My wife gave me a Pepsi last night. Since I have a very good and tolerant relationship with caffiene, I figured what the hell. Many hours later, at 4 o-clock in the morning, I realized i might not want to have a pepsi at 9pm again. But more importantly…

I got INSPIRED! That little part of me that had invented Symbiostock woke up again. The happy part, who didn’t live for solving bugs and trying to see through negativity to find something positive. That part of me realized what this network has become.

In a nutshell: This network is alive. Its a living breathing thing, just like the internet. PLRANG, after hacking some Symbiocards and spreading a little secret trouble, joked with me: “Yeah, Symbiostock would make a great bot net!”

Last night I realized our secret to growth lies in Symbiostock’s structure, both technological and social. Somewhere in the thousands of bug complaints I had forgotten those wonderful, happy days where I was looking at ant colonies around my house and got inspired to create the “Symbio-card”.

In a nutshell – I’m going to finish what I started with Symbiostock’s promotional aspect. The true progress of Symbiostock was inspiration and development.

Regarding the TWITTER feed: I’d love to open up or utilize ONE existing forum here, where people can make special, targeted posts made for the twitter feed. But more than that, I have some things to mention on Symbiostock’s relationship with Twitter itself, which I will post in a different thread.

In the meantime, if someone would like to volunteer a special blog feed for things Regarding Symbiostock, I’d love to have a feed updating once a day spouting POSTIVE things about Symbiostock. Even if that blogger just linked to positive things happening around the network…

Thats small-kind stuff though. Wait for my next, important post 😀

I remember that happening to you before – it was because you were using non-numeric characters. Might that be it again?

That reminds me though, I should put in some validation for that.

From here on I’m going to list the bugs fixed on the opening post.

Today (it seems) I’ve fixed the safari ‘.html’ bug, but we will need to verify that. I’m on ubuntu and at this time I can’t get a working safari instance 🙁

Glad to hear its working for you.

After some tests on my devices (Kindle, Phone, Ipad…well, the latter two are my wive’s :D) I see that its not always working as anticipated. I’m still looking at the issue, but it seems that its a common bootstrap thing. Will get back to you 😀

    VERSION 3.1.8

As promised I’m taking a few weeks to go through all of Symbiostock’s major bugs.

A rather big one is the responsive theme that doesn’t always respond the way we anticipate — primarily on the MENU NAVBAR.

Your going to love me and hate me for this, but its a necessary evil.

The menu will collapse properly now for mobiles, making a much greater use of space. *HOWEVER* if you have a flamboyant menu set up, effects will differ. So far we’re looking good in most respects, but with 160 sites of varying style, I don’t expect not to get slapped a few times.

Anyway, check out my site to see it in action. Send me a starbucks in the mail.

EDIT: NOTE —- REFRESH YOUR BROWSER before trying out the responsiveness, so your css file is re-fetched, or you will not see it in its full glory.

EDIT 2: The Twitter Bug (sounds cute actually) may finally have flown away…

Please test out the daily queue for two reasons:

    1. We need to know that its working for everyone.
    2. It promotes you and Symbiostock collectively.

The network results issue was fixed. It was a blunder I made changing something by request.

updated to latest version and did a test for the default License setting at batch edit, I choose one of my Enhanced License to be default and applied to selected images, now my images price will auto added to Enhanced License price after clicking on the size of image, see this for example http://plingstock.com/image/abstract-glowing-neon-light-stock-illustration/ ( is required to register then only you will see), I try to go back to my batch edit wanted to reset the default license but I can’t, I also try to set it to my preset Standard License but also no luck, look like can only set once and can’t edit after that.

I’m not sure I fully understand the problem. I read it a few times and tried to emulate what your saying, to see if I can produce the same problem.

Can someone verify Pling’s issues if they are having the same ones and expound on what is happening?

    Hi Leo

I have just installed the update to main theme
Unable to install update to Premium/Professional plug in (have refreshed page a few times) but no update showing

    This is my problem
    viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1010

I also sent you an email about it a few days ago (but I don’t think they reach you for some reason ?)

I updated you, however the hover-previews of the premium version are overlapping the plrange plugin. You will have to deactivate plrange or at least turn off hover previews.

Do I have an admin account? I can see what is going on. I’ll see if I’m still on your site.

Also I’ve missed an extrordinary amount lately, and I often miss emails.
