You warned me a positive note would have a negative response! However I do not regret posting it. People would have flamed Symbiostock anyway…it was just a volcano waiting to go off.
Nonetheless, great work! I’m happy you’ve done well! Its inspiring to me as well.
January 28, 2014 at 7:09 am #8926I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this investment of time you’ve made, with this wonderful information.
Often I want to post my sales (almost daily) but I feel as though I’d be showing off. But like you, I wish I could inspire people — its the idea behind this project.
You’ve mentioned quite a few good things, especially on how you make an effort to produce unique keywords and content along with your images.
Besides sales, I also get custom work orders from my site.
January 28, 2014 at 7:04 am #8927i haven’t even read this yet and already I’m thanking you 🙂 🙂 🙂
January 28, 2014 at 3:13 am #8899It basically gives multiple users the ability to tweet off one account (safely, no passwords and such)
Instead of being an auto-bot right now I thought people might enjoy using it for more pointed and often more entertaining stuff.
Throw it on the back-burner anyway — just one of those things going through my mind as I’m glued to this project 😯

Actually incorporating “beer” into promotion might actually help immensely. Open source is really “free beer” to many, but I think we could be a little less metaphorical…
January 27, 2014 at 11:55 pm #8879I can understand people that make a huge investment of time and energy. There is only so fast you can make a tree grow though — its best to let things rest for a while. The new site (.com) is going to be awesome, and the theme will model slightly after it.
Mostly (for Shemla and those who contribute like her) it can be like pushing a rock up hill…I think a rest is needed while I continue to put in my work around the Symbiostock garden. 😕
January 27, 2014 at 10:30 pm #8882Anyway… I PMd you.
If EVERYONE gave Symbiostock a break right now, it would be a HUGE advantage to me as a developer.
Right now I’m taking care of many of Symbiostock’s biggest issues;
Bugs
Professionalizing the image (main site, community site, theme)
And so forth. If Symbiostock became a ghost town for a while, that would not be a bad thing —
Here’s one of my favorite proverbs:
3 To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted,
3 A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up,
4 A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 A time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away,
7 A time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak,
8 A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What profit remains for the worker from his toil?
I think right now its time for EVERYONE to just enjoy some idleness while I work hard on making everything prettier and more professional 😀
This will happen much, much slower the more spread thin I am. I see it as a win-win if everyone takes Shemla’s position right now.January 27, 2014 at 10:24 pm #8293I just fixed it and uploaded a new version for you. Let me know how it goes.
January 27, 2014 at 9:17 pm #8861This is fixed now. Small typo in code.
January 27, 2014 at 8:37 pm #8883Whatever path you choose to go, we’ve all been thankful for your efforts. I am especially. Instead of putting effort into it, why don’t you just let it sit and upload to it like an agency? Just push the upgrade button occasionally.
January 27, 2014 at 2:13 am #8864You’ve saved me tons of hunting on that one. Thank you very much for that help 😀
January 27, 2014 at 2:05 am #8303Hey guys,
As promised I had blown out a ton of bugs by Saturday!
I have to detour for a few days, which means predictable and boring Symbiostocking for a while 😀
I have to get the main sites looking pretty and ready for more traffic. A few day’s work. Then I’ll resume the bug hunting.
Thanks.
January 26, 2014 at 11:50 pm #7765The system is officially set up now 😀

When you use the batch editor to modify settings and prices, the name of the blog size is still Bloggee even if you changed the name shown for your site to something else.
It’s not customer-facing bug, but having some places pick up the new text and others not isn’t ideal.
I did only a quick implementation, and I had intended to follow up the remaining places afterward. Would you mind listing whatever places I haven’t found yet?
January 26, 2014 at 11:33 pm #8254I’ve been stumbling on this problem for a while, trying to see what people are referring to. Like you say, I’ll have to fiddle with it to get a true handle on it. I’m just glad to have found it!
