looks fine on by computer using Safari and FireFox
But the Contact and About Backyard Stock Photos at the top of the page are almost invisible until you mouse over them.
And your Menu bar and Graphic seem to overlap a bit.Steve

http://www.softlightstock.comOctober 24, 2013 at 1:34 pm #5913Upgraded to 2.9.2 and now my home page won’t open
http://softlightstock.comIt wants to redirect to http://softlightstock.com/index.php
(i don’t believe it did this before the upgrade)All the other pages of my site will open
i.e. http://softlightstock.com/contact-us/
From there you can navigate to any other page except the home page.Don’t know where or how to fix this.
Thanks
Steveoops

I have to agree with Joann’s take that your slide show was too busy when I first looked at it, and she beat me to the critique.
I just went in and looked at the new version and I still think there’s too much going on.
I’m not a fan of using transitions. It’s about the images not the slideshow.
(I just use a fade-in on my site).
With the type coming and going in all directions yours is still very busy with the transition you’ve chosen. It takes about 45 seconds to cycle through your whole whole Slideshow. Much too long.
Mine comes in at about 12 seconds for 4 slides.
Virtually nobody is going to sit there to watch that if they are there to buy images.
You should try to condense it some.
You need to get the message across faster. Also you still have too many type styles between the header, logo, slideshow and body copy.
Feel free to take a crack at my site as well.
(it’s not looking good on mobile devices – hope Leo addresses that soon).
And I need to get the Recently Added widget and the 3 images below centered.Steve

http://www.softlightstock.comOctober 23, 2013 at 12:29 pm #5817I just discovered that my site is acting just like Joanns on an iPad, Search results and categories browsing display in a long line.
2.8.9 and Dragonfly (Spacelab)
I reverted to the basic Child Theme and the galleries present the same way in a long line.

http://www.softlightstock.comOctober 21, 2013 at 11:50 pm #5644I would think if you didn’t put the categories in a menu they would only be visible to you on the admin side.
Edit:
Actually that wont work>I wanted to show all my sub categories so I made my own Categories / Sub Categories page and I’m not linking to the site generated Categories page.
You could do the same – making a page showing only the categories you want to show and not linking to the site generated page.

I need to know if this is affecting everyone. Or lots of people. Or a few. At any given time I’m addressing a lot of things, so I’m not deeply familiar with many of these “minor” issue.s
Just up loaded a small batch – no problems here.

I think I have everything back to the way it was.Now I just need to sort out creating a sub domain and making a test site so I can eventually move to the next version.
