What is the latest on these issues? I am thinking of rebuilding my site (after letting it go about 5 years ago). But don’t want to put in the effort if Symbiostock is not keeping up with WORD Press Updates. Please let me know if this software has been abandoned.

Ahhh Thanks for pointing that out. I have been adding Editorial and categories with bulk edit and am only about half way through that process. I will keep plowing through that process today!

Is there anything we need to do to initiate the re encoding of videos to the new format that we have already uploaded or will that happen by default? I didn’t see an option under the video tab to turn that on.

I did not get a visual preview with a watermark. I only got a text report of some kind. I was trying in Firefox.

OK, I did a clean install through WP instead of FTP for Symbiostock Video and now I see the tab showing up under Symbiostock/settings. Does the encoding now default to MP4?

With the new Video Plugin I have not been able to find where to choose settings for MP4 or number of thumbnails generated. Were there other new options for videos as well? Where do I find the settings for this?

Thanks for all the hard work on the upgrades. I have placed the order for the two plugins using the upgrade option and am eagerly awaiting instructions of what to do next to download these. But I am guessing you all have gone to bed there in Australia….

Hmmm, that must have been what happened. I have updated WP and WooCommerece. I see that the bulk edit still includes Some very specific Symbiostock and Symzio options. Is there a way that I can add attributes back into bulk edit with some code?

Hey The Update sounds good, any ETA? I would like to release my site to Symzio and start promoting it in other ways but the current video player is just too much of a problem. In Chrome it requires people to click three play buttons before the preview will play. In Explorer the video displays in the player with the video pushed down about 20%.
At the moment the site is mostly video clips and I just can’t release it or promote it without a better video player.

Sure, I can spend some time on that. In the meantime, the current player is capable of auto-play, but the way it is currently set up with the settings that you have made with the CDN player, I cant seem to make any adjustments to the player.
Can you PM me on the current method of processing previews? Is this done by video-js as well? I would like to start first with that process and see what options are open to the user for settings on that. I am not sure jwplayer, or other players would play these flv videos.
Perhaps if the current settings were just set to auto-play, the delay would not be as noticeable for mp4 videos? How bad is it?

What is your budget? I can recommend Inmotionhosting and Wired Tree as being well suited to this kind of site. They both limit users on VPN servers, don’t choke your bandwidth, and have the imajic. It’s a jungle out there and buyer beware that when sites advertise unlimited this and that, it does not really mean unlimited.
