If you’re on a dedicated server there should be no issue at all. Can you PM me your WP login info as well as SSH access to your server?

    Thanks.

Hey Joel – that seems to be a 2014 post. Far earlier than the version that bundles with Symbiostock Express.

Are you on a shared hosting account? If so, contact your host to confirm that they support ffmpeg video conversions and are providing sufficient memory and CPU for it. You cannot process videos on most shared accounts that do not have high memory provisions.

This is explained on the plugin page.

FYI, with the next release of Symbiostock, the Video plugin will switch to MP4 media files and the video player will be upgraded to look and operate better. You won’t have to do anything and Symbiostock will re-code your videos for you.

Just briefly looking at it, PHP 7 introduces quite a few syntax changes that would require manually scanning most of the plugin to avoid bugs. Some of them are not backwards compatible with PHP 5, so it makes it unlikely we will update the plugin solely for PHP 7 compatibility anytime soon.

Yes – however Symbiostock checks your license (variation) settings via the processor and re-syncs the maximum downloads to your global settings constantly so it may be difficult to find a plugin that will work with this.

At the current time this can only be set globally via your settings

Try running with PHP 5.4. It may very well be a compatibility issue with PHP 7.

I just created an account on a test site and placed an order in real time and was able to click on the download link without issue.

If someone else wishes to run a test and confirm that it works on their end, we can isolate it to Kenny’s install – a third party plugin, or something else.

Thank you for that – the plugin has far out paced our ability to keep the documentation 100% synced but we’re hoping to rectify that systematically with the next big release.

It would be much better if he went in and added the categories to the metadata of the images. This will have the exact same effect and is in fact more efficient since his images will have categorical metadata stored in a manner that can be extracted in the future.

Your memory at the start of the cron should not be so low – it should be at least 40M or higher. It is most certainly a memory issue – somehow your VPS settings are limiting the memory available to PHP and this is preventing the images from being parsed. So what happens is Symbiostock adds the database information for the media, but when it tries to process it the script crashes. Then it tries again and again.

Hi there – PM me your login information and I’ll try to take a look.

It is certainly a server issue, just need to figure out what kind of server issue.
