I haven’t voted yet at all. It has been quite a while since I took a look at most or even all sites. I need to find some time to check them all out first. But I will use my 7 votes for sure.
BTW, if I remember correctly you were the one with no sales so far. Looking at your site and your really appealing images makes me wonder if your watermark might not be bothersome enough for people to simply “take” your pics including watermark. It might be too nice.

I disagree. I think your site looks fresh and inviting.
However, while I do understand the marketing aspect of this survey, I believe that most “designs”, just like mine, are not really the designs of the site owner. I, for instance, simply used one of the many standard layouts, Leo put into our hands with most recent Symbiostock and the dragonfly child theme.

If I may suggest something …
The first impression, and the first thing somebody looks at when he wants to know what this page is about, is the text part in the header saying
“Symbiostock is the easy-to-use, fair royalty network of photographers, videographers, vector artists and illustrators.”
I think we’re missing out to include as much information as possible, like that we are stock image creators or that artists are welcome to join or that it only takes cheap webspace to set it up or that artists keep 100% of earnings or that all people can buy stock images for web and print use etc.
I don’t know how many characters this field will take but since this is our only headline, I think we should put as much information as possible in it.
Thanks guys, but I couldn’t find the right stuff. I needed really cheesy and touristy images, like Sydney opera or kangaroos at sunset ext.
Thanks for responding, I finished the project yesterday already.I need 3 to 4 photographs that are typically “Aussie” and have a “travel” touch to it. I guess I’ll head over to symbiostock.info to see what’s available.

I’m pretty sure you can only comment as an individual on Facebook, not as a company. So your photo would come up if you had a personal Facebook page. My comments will come up as the Symbio logo only because I started the Symbio page.
No, you can “Use Facebook as” any personal or business page account to like, share or comment. Just click on the “gear” icon top right and choose the account of your liking.
Do you want to pay $30 every time your theme gets an update? Because theme updates will copy new files into your existing directories and the custom header logo will be gone.
Again, you’ll need a child theme and then need to copy your header.php into the child theme directory if you want to keep changes made to your header.
It’s fairly easy to get this logo into your header but it doesn’t make sense (at least not the way you want to do it).
Congrats! I made this step 3 months ago and I’m very happy I did.
That’s why I was preferring the group instead of a page. A page is more dictated while a group is community driven and can easier develop its own momentum.
What I had initially in mind was that SYS members (all of them) would be able to post their favorite shot of the day/week/month with a little story behind it (why is it a favorite, how was it made etc) and of course linking to the site where it’s available for licensing. This FB picture should be in max FB resolution/size (960px) to make an impact (watermarked, of course).
To avoid getting a lot of spam or low quality material on the page, these posts might go through some kind of admin clearing.
I might be able to help out as an admin if needed. Just liked the page.
