    PLUGIN – Translating keywords:
    My SYM theme is multilingual, but I’d like a plugin to translate my keywords and user get to search also for the translated ones.

    If you know some WP plugin that does it, or other way to do it, please share it here/link. ;0)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey folks, thanks for sharing yours.
    Here is my list for a while. Still setting the site, so it tends to grow. :0)

    Used these for helping to create a multilingual Symbiostock theme:
    – qTranslate: Adds userfriendly multilingual content support into WordPress;
    – gText Widget: Multilingual Text Widget For WordPress 2.8.x;
    – CodeStyling Localization: You can manage and edit all gettext translation files (*.po/*.mo) directly out of your SYS back-end, but not useful for a while once I’m not getting to make .mo file works with SYS as posted here;
    – WP exec PHP: Execute PHP inside posts, pages, text widgets and text widget titles. Add filters and actions using custom fields.

    Used these for helping to create the Symbiostock theme:
    – Akismet: protect your blog from comment and trackback spam;
    – Contact Form 7: Great plug-in to manage contact forms;
    – Count Per Day: Counter, shows reads and visitors per page; today, yesterday, last week, last months … on dashboard, per shortcode or in widget;
    – Display widgets: Adds checkboxes to each widget to show or hide on site pages;
    – Email Address Encoder: lightweight plugin to protect email addresses from email-harvesting robots by encoding them into decimal and hexadecimal entities;
    – External Permalinks Redux: Allows you to point WordPress objects (posts, pages, custom post types) to a URL of your choosing;
    – Math Captcha: Math Captcha is a 100% effective CAPTCHA for WordPress that integrates into login, registration, comments, Contact Form 7 and bbPress;
    – Related Posts By Taxonomy: required by Symbiostock;
    – Reveal IDs: Reveals hidden IDs in Admin interface that have been removed with WordPress 2.5
    – Shortcoder: allows to create a custom shortcode “[custom]” and store HTML, Javascript and other snippets in it. So if that shortcode is used in any post or pages, then the code stored in the shortcode get executed in that place;
    – Slideshow: required by Symbiostock;
    – SYMBIOSTOCK- Cart Manager: required by Symbiostock;
    – SYMBIOSTOCK – Emails and Notifications: required by Symbiostock;
    – UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore: Backup and restore: take backups locally, or backup to Amazon S3, Dropbox, Google Drive, Rackspace, (S)FTP, WebDAV & email, on automatic schedule
    – Wordfence Security: Anti-virus and Firewall security plugin for WordPress;
    – WordPress SEO: The first true all-in-one SEO solution for WordPress, including on-page content analysis, XML sitemaps and much more;
    – wp-category-meta:: Add the ability to attach meta to the WordPress categories.

    If I get some new plug-in, I’ll edit this list. I hope that can be useful for somebody else. ;0)

    Leo, not sure if it would be helpful for actual phpBB, not sure what version it is, but:

    – Advanced block mod: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/advanced_block_mod/faq/f_548

    PLUGIN – Manage menus in a multilingual way:
    My SYM theme is multilingual, but I’d like a plugin to manage my menus where I would create one menu called “Language 1” and other “Language 2” and check that the menu should be show when identify that the user is using a link with the language. for example:
    http://www…./?lang=en;
    http://www…./en/
    – or other way that I have no idea. :0)

    If you know some WP plugin that does it, please share its name/link here.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the info.
    djpadavona is facing the same issue I’m facing. This user commented in another forum.

    I think that you should tick “Save as defaults” first, then Save Changes 🙂

    – Yes I have also tried this way by checking this checkbox, but when clicking on “Save Changes”, it refreshes the page and brings back the old value and not keep the new typed one as mentioned before. Weird. Here I’m using the SYS theme 2.9.9 and WP 3.8.

    Hi Leo,

    The link you have posted above is showing the message (“The requested topic does not exist.”). I mean, at least for me here, not sure the behaviour with others. So, for me it is a broken link.

    Cheers.

    Either the full name of Symbiostock or Sys as many people have already been using

    – Sys, seems “System”, and “Symbiostock” isn’t an acronym. Would be great the community adopt a new one for “SST”. :0) Well, just a suggestion. Let the poll rolls. It won’t hurt anybody. ;0)

    There are several spam users who registered a few hours back. I can see them but I either can’t ban them or I don’t know how to with the new forum

    They haven’t posted yet, but it’s only a matter of time before they do. If there is a setting that lets moderators ban users that you need to enable Leo, can we try to get that working now in case there are more spammers?

    Good morning Jo Ann. What about a captcha every submit message? Should it avoid some automatic spam post after getting to register? Not sure if such automatic post exists, but just a comment. ;0)

    A little annoying have to use the captcha every single post, but if it is a solution to block spammers we have to get used to. ;0)

    Great to “hear” all that. Anxious to put mine on-line, and share my WooHoo sales here, but it still has a long way to go and finish the settings. :0)

    Good luck to you all folks and have a great new year with a WooHoo best year ever in 2014. ;0)

    Congratulations Leo!
    Nice look and I wish it keeps spammers away.
    Thanks for your hard work.

    Just a suggestion and I know you’re still setting, and also not sure if phpBB provides such feature in this version, but it would be cool to have the message icon when posting a new thread and if you can set, it would be cool to have the icons:

    “Icon” | Icon name | (Description):

    – “Green check mark” | Solved | (After having a thread solved you get to edit the “message icon”);
    – “Question mark” | Help/Doubt | (When having doubts and needing help);
    – “Thumbs-up” | Answered | (For messages answered, but not solved);
    – “Insect/bug ” | Bug | (Reporting bugs);
    – “Lamp” | Idea | (For posting suggestions);
    – ” SS logo/letters SS” | Implemented | (Changing status for ideas/suggestions implemented);
    – and etc.

    Well, something like that, just a suggestion. ;0)
