I suspected this right away when I ran a couple of ads. I spent X amount of dollars to get X amount of likes. Took about 4 hours. Then I switched the exact same add to X amount of page views instead of likes. This time the exact same add received 10 times the page views but about 10 percent of the likes. Also the likes I received were coming from people who I automatically knew were never, ever going to buy my images. I never placed another ad with Facebook.
So far. I have been given a theme for free. Dragonfly child theme has been free too. I can’t code, don’t understand twitter at all, and social networking is like a foreign language. Maybe my way of giving back to Leo is to enter the contest? That is something I can do and if I win a prize great. Meanwhile Leo has been doing most of the giving. Maybe he deserves a little love from me. To me it’s the least I can do to say thank you.
I think a reworked logo probably is not a bad idea. The current one is nice but it has been mentioned a number of times about the unfortunate similarities to something not so pleasant. I like the idea of a contest too. There are some pretty talented people in this group. I’ll probably take a shot at creating something.
I have some silhouettes that are created from a modeling program. I don’t include a release but I do send a note with the name of the program and an explanation of how the images were created. That works almost all of the time.

I think the Wordfence thing was legit. The person claiming it was a scam was also the same person saying Symbiostock was a pyramid scheme. I received the e-mail from Wordfence and I am much more trusting that it was in good faith to help me protect my site.

I think I really don’t understand this. I am pretty sure I am not the only one. Could someone explain a couple of things to me. I understand the need for the information but I don’t understand why you should be able to access it if you aren’t a symbio site owner. Why can’t access to this information be only available through your own sites admin? I also get that the more information collected the better the data set, but how much of a problem can it be if a few sites opt out? In my mind if you opt out you also should not have access to the information. What am I missing?
I know, I posted and then checked out the link. I edited my post to compensate. Off topic- but every time I click a link it takes me away from the forum instead of opening in a new window. I tend to not follow a lot of links for this reason.
Isn’t it crazy what people will buy. A christmas design in February… that’s awesome. I sold some turkey (bird) images last week. Just goes to show you never know what people are looking for or when they might need them.
ETA: I just saw the url without looking at the photo yet. Just saw the photo. Makes my post kind of irrelevant. Really nice image!
CongratulationsRon experienced a change at Bluehost last night. I did too but I haven’t had the chance to upload any images. Maybe that had something to do with it?

I completely agree threads should be allowed to run their own course. I don’t know what happened to the .com thread but I would guess it was more about Leo’s comments than anyone else’s. We need to show our imperfect sides as well.
I am sure you all know “that couple”. The ones who are perfect? In incredible love, always agree, never fight, the perfect relationship. You know what I’m talking about. No one trusts that relationship because they know it is fake and divorce is just a few months away. You also know that old couple. The ones who speak their mind but also easily forgive each other. Not nearly as pretty but also have been married for 60 years.Symbiostock should be the old couple. It breeds trust and it is honest and believable. People have bad days, good relationships forgive, forget and move on.

Hope this helpsTry playing with the options in the Appearance section. That is what I did. Try something and see if you like it. If not go back. I think you can get something you like without having to do any special coding. It might take a while but once you understand what the various things do you will be able to get there. It will probably take a few hours of trial and error but you will get there. Change your background color and your link color etc. Find a color scheme you like and then go back and adjust your personal logos and slider to match. If you do the images last it will be much easier for you.
Here’s a tip. Don’t forget about the widgets, and adjusting your menus, they will dramatically affect how your site looks.
