Thanks,

January 25, 2014 at 5:59 am #8665I figured out how to link other Symbiostock users in the SS tab in WP. I added about 10 other users. Is it good to add more or less than that?
Thanks!
January 25, 2014 at 5:33 am #8664Thanks for your replies! I apologize for my basic questions.
I’m still trying to get some stats. I thought I had JetPack installed, but I think something went wrong with it. I reinstalled it, but when I tried to activate it, it said it caused a fatal error. Like you, I also use Bluehost. I looked in my cPanel there, but I couldn’t find a stats area.
How do I get on Cascoly’s list?
You mentioned the Symbiostock (bee) tab in WordPress. Is that under Symbiostock > Network in my WP dashboard.
Again, I apologize for my basic questions. I’m in a little over my head. I’m afraid I might need to pay someone to get in and try and fix things. 🙂
Thanks,
NateJanuary 21, 2014 at 6:01 pm #8662Thanks for the reply JoAnn. Unfortunately, I didn’t install a “stats” plugin when I built my site. Do you know if there is somewhere to view stats if you didn’t install a WP plugin for stats?
Thanks for mentioning my Alexis rating. Is 2 million bad or good, and how do you look that up?
I thought I had some outbound links setup. I didn’t change anything on Dec. 15th, when the traffic died. How do I setup outbound links?
Thanks!!!!
NateNovember 6, 2013 at 7:31 pm #6950Nice! I like that!
Also, I noticed that the corners on your search bar and button are square. Is that any easy thing to modify in the CSS?
Thanks!

I really like the looks of that! Nice work. Will you take it out of the top part then, or leave both?
Cathy,
I just decided I am going to keep the search bar at the top as well. Why? Because when a customer leaves the homepage to go to a post or image page, I still need a search bar for them to use.

OH!
I DID miss that fix you posted! Sorry about that!
I switched it out with the new code, and it works. THANK YOU!! I really appreciate you taking the time to help me on this. It looks just how I want it now.
Thanks!

Thanks Cathy. I think I’ll probably leave the one on top as well for now. It might help the “look” of the design to remove the top one, but might help customers more to leave it. We’ll see.

November 6, 2013 at 5:16 am #6944Here is the code. It is directly in my homepage.
P.S. I also just added it in a text widget, so you can see what I mean with the borders.
November 6, 2013 at 4:57 am #6942I was in the Text Editor, and I pasted your code snippet directly in. I don’t see a
anywhere.Here is something interesting:
When I use a text widget, it aligns correctly.
When I don’t use a text widget, and just paste it in directly in the Text Editor, it aligns wrong. With the search bar being slightly above the search bar.It would be easy if I could use a text widget, but the text widget adds a border that throws off the layout.
Weird. What could cause it to work in a widget, but not by itself?
Thanks,
NateNovember 6, 2013 at 4:27 am #6940Jo Ann,
I am running the Clean Theme, version 2.0.0.
I just added that snippet of code you shared earlier in this thread directly on my homepage.
I tried putting it in a text widget first – and it WAS aligned correctly – but I didn’t like the border around it. When I put it in a text widget, it put the search bar inside one of the borders like my “Featured Images” and “New Images”. I want it to be above there, so it looks like it is part of the upper part of the homepage.
Thanks,
NateNovember 6, 2013 at 1:30 am #7000I agree 100% with jsnover. Those are great points, especially her comment about delivering “what most buyers will be expecting”.
