    Jo Ann,

Thank you so much for taking a personalized look at my code! I looked at the code and can’t find a line break (
) anywhere on the homepage or on my style.css sheet.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

    Thanks,
    Nate

Saving an Illustrator file down to version 10 is common practice in the microstock industry.

However, with our Symbiostock sites, we don’t have to follow those common practices. If you have an Illustrator file that doesn’t work if saved down to version 10, still put it up for sale on your site. Just make sure to mention clearly in the description what version of Illustrator the customer needs in order to edit the file.

    Thank you Jo Ann!

I tweaked it, and now the “Search” button is to the right of the search bar, but it is not aligned with it. You can see it at: http://snapvectors.com. Any idea why it is not aligning with the search bar?

Also, do you know where the root CSS file is located that controls the color of the search buttons?

    Thanks!

    Thanks Leo and nikd90!

I added a search bar to my homepage using that code. I altered it a bit to be centered, and have a set width. You can see it at snapvectors.com.

One final question on this thread:

What code can I insert so that the “search” button aligns directly to the right of the search bar? Currently, it sits below the search bar.

    Thanks!

I’m running the Clean Theme, version 2.0.0, and it shows as my Current Theme. The main Symbiostock theme only shows as one of the “Available Themes”, and I don’t see the Update button or link.

Can I not upgrade if I’m running the Clean Theme?

    Thanks Leo and Redneck!

A stupid question…. How do I upgrade. I can’t seem to find it in my admin area.

    Thanks!

    Woohoo! Thanks Leo!

Has that update already released or is it an upcoming update?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your reply, Redneck.

I checked out your blog. That is cool that you’re using it to promote your own work and the whole Symbiostock network. Thanks for the tip on the SNAP plugin. I know there is a lot of SEO power in getting your article (blog post) out on all those sites and networks.

Does anyone else use other forms of marketing to bring eyeballs to their work on the network?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the comments. That was pretty overwhelming. I’m glad I asked. Pinterest is obviously not a good idea for marketing our images.

Do any of you use any other outside ways to market your images besides just maximizing your SEO? I’ve heard Twitter can be helpful. I want to get the Twitter functionality of the Premium Plugin up and running. I’m sure that will help.

    Thanks!

I’m pretty sure it’s the Soliloquy plugin.

Thanks for the advice on the bulk processing of categories. That makes sense.

I was afraid I would have to do it one by one. It will take time, but like sandorgora said, it is good to give individual attention to each image. I know that variation and precision will help the SEO.

    Thanks,
    Nate

    Thanks for the reply Leo.

Here’s the important question… Do your PNG files sell any better than the JPG’s? 🙂

If the PNG’s don’t sell dramatically better, I think I’ll just keep it simple, and stay with JPG’s.

    Thanks,
    Nate

I saw that comment and assumed that the poster was saying he’d been working on his site and it looked terrible in mid-edit.

    That makes sense!

I had the same question. I saw this comment posted on a different thread, and it made me wonder:

“Btw, I just did the premium upgrade so things look terrible at my site right now, but the design will improve in a couple of days”

Is there anything that could cause the premium installation to alter things?

    Thanks,
    Nate
