Just tried again (with correct credentials) … everything is perfect. Perhaps you should try it from a second computer.
Yes, I’ve done that already. And different browsers…
November 1, 2013 at 9:42 am #6659Well Wordfence is reporting no IP blocking* but if I try to login using my admin account from this IP address, I’m blocked.
*3G so different IP address

Bizarre. Your IP is blocked!
No, it isn’t if you use Wordfence. Sorry when I deranged you with that, but it’s the same on my site. When a user tries to log in three times with wrong credentials the IP is blocked for a while. Be assured from my point of view, everything is working like it should on your site.
Yes, I’ve set it up that way too. I’m just going to try and get myself this IP address locked out for 10 minutes to see what Wordfence is doing.

Oh and by the way, every time one of you (or me) registers, my Cart Manager plugin gets deactivated.
Is it because it was Halloween yesterday?
No, it is deactivated all the time on my site … it works when I activate it, but is deactivated as soon as I logout. Seems to be an old bug, Leo hasn’t fixed yet.
Thanks Jochen.
I’ve just tried yet another combination and can’t login. But I guess if everyone else can, I shouldn’t be too worried. Odd though.

In 2.9.4 the user chooses their own password, it is not automatically generated.
Only if you do it before purchasing an image (for me anyway).
If you just click the login/register button, you get an email with a randomly generated password. For me, this password doesn’t work. I’ve tried different usernames and different email addresses. Every time I’m unable to login as a new registrant.

but I’ve just had an email notification that someone else couldn’t and their IP address was blocked for too many failed attempts. I didn’t have an email that you’d successfully registered though. On the other hand, I did get a “new user registration” email confirmation the user who failed to login (thanks for trying, testflashstock!)

November 1, 2013 at 9:13 am #6649Just had an email that Andrzej’s registered too (ajt) – let’s see what happens.
Thanks to all for helping me with this, btw.

I can confirm this … everything works like it should on your site … registration, logout, login, choosing image, forwarded to paypal … I didn’t pay, but everything seems fine from my point of view.
What on Earth’s going on then, Jochen? I’ve just had an email telling me that you’d been IP blocked!
November 1, 2013 at 9:09 am #6645Thanks Martha – but I’ve just had an email notification that someone else couldn’t and their IP address was blocked for too many failed attempts. A thought – the generated password tends to include lots of special characters. Depending on whether you’re Mac, Windows, or Linux, these all map differently on keyboards don’t they? Could that be an issue?
November 1, 2013 at 6:36 am #6641I have read the “auto-login no email verification” thread in the Development sub-forum, btw.
October 31, 2013 at 9:04 pm #6611You’re welcome!
October 31, 2013 at 6:13 pm #6565Bumpity Bump.
Has anyone any suggestions on how to fix it please?

October 31, 2013 at 7:34 am #6549Hi Anita
Frustrating stuff.
You’ve probably already tried this but just in case – even if the workaround in the links above don’t work for you, (it worked for me, BTW), is it worth putting
Reply-To: [your-email]
in the “Additional Headers” box?
Note that “[your-email]” should be typed literally as that – it’s the tag that CF7 uses for the sender.
