And you can still use the Edit CSS for other things (I do for changes to the styles of my Solioquy slider on the home page, for example)
If it’s of any help, see this thread where I posted by current edits to Dragonfly
Thanks but there’s no such option for me.
October 25, 2013 at 11:35 am #5235Unfortunately, it’s just stuffed up my homepage.
In the “Home Page” section, I told it to use my old page (the static one I’d been using before today) and it’s deleted all my text and hyperlinks. The text has gone from the original page in the “Pages” section too.
October 25, 2013 at 10:25 am #5988Worked nicely. I owe you a pint of the black stuff, Ron. Dank u makker.
October 25, 2013 at 10:08 am #5987A bit of googling and it looks to be related to Yoast.
EDIT – X-posted with Ron
Thanks Ron. I’ll give your suggestion a go.October 25, 2013 at 9:43 am #5986So I’m able to start working on my site again after a bit of an enforced break and I’ve tried to go from 2.6.5 to 2.9.3 but it won’t install. I get this error message —
Warning: Missing argument 3 for wpseo_upgrader_process_complete() in /myserverspace/public_html/stockphotology/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/wpseo-non-ajax-functions.php on line 259
I’m guessing that whilst I’ve been away, there’s something I’ve missed – some plugin or interim upgrade that’s needed for this to work.
Any pointers please?
ETA – upgraded to WP 3.7 earlier.
October 8, 2013 at 7:58 am #3735I’m off grid at the moment due to a house move and a few other things but will be up and at ’em next week.
And I’ll have fibre-optic BB rather than the grindathon ADSL BB that I’ve had until now.
So I’ll be able to give it all a good workout.
September 19, 2013 at 7:03 am #2935Good stuff.
But I agree with the above – I wouldn’t even mention BlueHost judging by the grief many have had with them.
I would also not suggest (as your phrasing seems to) that you need to buy your site domain name and hosting from the same company. There are advantages to buying a domain name with one company and hosting with another and just pointing your domain name to your site.
September 18, 2013 at 12:16 pm #2421I might be a bit delayed. Something, somewhere has scrambled my site’s javascript-reliant functions so my WP Dashboard is stuffed.
Again.
September 18, 2013 at 7:26 am #2420Interesting that you say that after registering, the landing page is the wp-admin page. When I first set up my site, my first few test registrations ended up there too.
So I put a paragraph about it in my “Thanks for Registering” email saying something like, “When you return to Stockphotology, you will be taken to your profile page where you can change your password to somethig secure and memorable. While you’re there, why not add a few details about yourself? From there, you can.blah..blah..blah…”
After various updates, my next test registrations consistently landed on the Client page. So I deleted that paragraph. 😐
I’m doing the Premium u/g today so I shall set up some more test registrations later and see what happens. I’ll post times to email receipt too.
September 14, 2013 at 6:18 pm #2664I don’t know for certain but is it worth changing it to see if it works?
Or even better, add the same text but with you as author to the Child Theme so it overrides the Main Theme; this way Leo’s attribution remains intact. And if Amanda’s name is attributed as author in her Clean Theme, comment it out with a caveat so that the true attribution remains.
I guess if it does work with respect to G+, you could ask Amanda if she minds being commented out =)
You can always delete the CSS code if it doesn’t do anything.
September 14, 2013 at 3:17 pm #2663Can you change the authorship of the child theme css?
September 12, 2013 at 7:12 pm #2490As I see it, the main advantages over traditional agencies are:

Responsiveness (as Chromaco noted)[/*]

Adaptability – both from the individual contributor and from the network[/*]

Transparency – no minimum spends, inefficient credit systems or subscription plans – you pay for what you need and no more[/*]
The range and quality of material is at least as good as the agencies but wouldn’t really set us apart at this point.
