No worries at all – thanks to you letting me know about this, I’ve added a permanent note to the Symzio notice so if a future applicant gets the same issue, it will let them know that they should disable a site lock.
However, just so you know, Symzio is going to need to connect to your site over and over – it’s a base mechanism. So if you can’t add it to a white list, it would be better to just disable that sitelock permanently.
January 1, 2016 at 7:58 am #25212Hey ana,
Okay, I did some testing on your server. Couple of things:
1) Firstly, you don’t have shell_exec access on your server so our more powerful metadata reading software cannot be used. This has nothing to do with the issues with your media, however.
2) I downloaded one of your EPS files and tried it on one of our test servers – it provided the same error on our servers as it did yours:
Error: /syntaxerror in -file- Operand stack: Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– false 1 %stopped_push 1862 1 3 %oparray_pop 1861 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– 1845 1 3 %oparray_pop 1739 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– %errorexec_pop .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push Dictionary stack: –dict:1156/1684(ro)(G)– –dict:1/20(G)– –dict:90/200(L)– Current allocation mode is local Last OS error: 2 Current file position is 1709571 Error: /syntaxerror in -file- Operand stack: Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– false 1 %stopped_push 1862 1 3 %oparray_pop 1861 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– 1845 1 3 %oparray_pop 1739 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– %errorexec_pop .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push Dictionary stack: –dict:1156/1684(ro)(G)– –dict:1/20(G)– –dict:90/200(L)– Current allocation mode is local Last OS error: 2 Current file position is 1709571
This means that there is something wrong with your EPS file which makes Imagick unable to process it.
3) I uploaded a sample EPS which processed fine on your server, although it did take some time.
Finally, based on my research, EPS files do not reliably store metadata – if you do store them, it may make the file unreadable by other pieces of software. It is possible that this is what is causing the issue we are seeing, although I’m not sure.
I have never encountered this issue before, and it is specific to your EPS files. You may have to do some testing to get them working with Imagick – try saving them without metadata, or saving with an sRGB color profile, etc. Test different methods until you get one that works. If you need any other help, let me know. If you discover the solution, please share it for future users.
Thanks.
January 1, 2016 at 7:53 am #25211Your tags will basically give Google everything – every time it finds an image with a tag, it will find 50 more, exponentially. WordPress is organized in a way that it is very hard to hide any content from search engines. Other than meta titles, descriptions, and URLs, I don’t worry much about internal linking anymore.
January 1, 2016 at 7:48 am #25210A lot of people appear to be encountering this issue with Incapsula – I don’t even know what it is. I’m assuming it’s a CDN of sorts:
Request unsuccessful. Incapsula incident ID: 136001140084452544-36525608779908899

Their answers seem to be ‘add the host to your whitelist’.
January 1, 2016 at 7:25 am #25208Hey there –
I just did a quick check and see that an error is showing when Symzio tries to access your site:
Request unsuccessful. Incapsula incident ID: 305000570239970535-273109084812673940
Doing a search yields that this appears to be a CDN ‘DDoS and other attacking preventing system’.
You may have to disable this mechanism they have or add Symzio to your whitelist.
Do you know if you are running through Incapsula or is it your web host?

Generally, for third party plugins, contributors submit support requests:
http://www.symbiostock.org/support/
It just takes too much time and resources to try to deal with non-Symbiostock software, especially if, in the future, Yoast changes anything about their infrastructure. It’s not just making it compatible right now – it has to remain compatible if it is a permanent feature. Accordingly, it would have to be a ‘custom job’ as the only third party software we have the resources to maintain compatibility with is WooCommerce.
If you are familiar with MySQL and PHP, you could very realistically import this data yourself. Just find out what tables and fields are used in Yoast, and use string comparisons to match the legacy products to the new products after the import. It is actually a little more complicated, but do-able.
I do understand your need to preserve it – you are correct, sometimes descriptions are longer than an optimized meta description and if you’ve put a lot of work into making all your media optimized, it is a shame to waste it.
One thing to note is that the importer preserves all your slugs – so not only do you not have to lose any SEO juice, but you can import the Yoast stuff after the import is done too. If you want to try it yourself, don’t hesitate to post questions here with information on your progress and I can try to guide you if needed.

The media is there:

But you are right, it is not showing up in the search results. Let me check why that may be the case.
