    Hey there

So I enabled errors on the cron job and see this:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘ImagickException’ with message ‘Empty input file `/home3/amazeind/public_html/ss_media/ss_15743_alt.jpg’

Looks like an alternate JPEG you uploaded either did not get uploaded or is corrupt so the processor is hanging on it. I deleted that file and processor seems to be working good now.

I’ve added a new sticky post regarding enabling error reporting so you can diagnose some of these things yourself from now on.

Thanks for sharing the solution – sometimes it is difficult to diagnose what it could be remotely when there are so many factors.

So go into symbiostock/exiftool directory and try to set the exiftool file to 755 via FTP. You may have to do this with different things, and may have to re-do this every time you update Symbiostock. I would suggest you contact your host and ask them about this because it’s very odd.

Absolutely nothing we can do about that. They are basically saying it is too server intensive to be permitted. Video processing can be server intensive, but it’s all up to the host at times.

When you go to settings and look at the bottom is Imagick enabled? What happens when you run the diagnostic thing? Does the vector get processed?

So chmod sets the file permission of certain files or folders so that Symbiostock can safely access it. If you want, you can manually try to set it yourself and see if the error goes away, but usually chmod is not denied as a function. It is a hosting thing – maybe ask them.

All product images are stored as “featured images/post thumbnails” so yes, it should work.

    Hi Martin,

Symbiostock Video has an executable that comes bundled with it called ffmpeg. That’s all it needs to execute.

No worries at all. This is why we are here. Local issues often creep up for everyone.

Yes – it’s not entirely your fault. This information, obvious and totally clear, is muddled with misinformation online.

Digitally it is all very easy though – 1 pixel is one pixel. How densely you pack those pixels when you print is what ‘dots per inch’ means. But digitally, all we need to worry about is how many dots we have in total.

    Yep, that’s fine too.

Not a different product – same product, just have two licenses. One for print which will be a higher resolution, and one for web which will be a lower resolution.

Yes – you are 100% responsible for the legality of your images. However, if you do mark as having a release and you are selling it on Symzio, that must be true otherwise you’re misrepresenting something to the entire community’s customers.
