This is totally an in-stone page. Its meant to be quick-and-easy standard. You can’t borrow stuff or necessarily add anything to it. It serves the function of giving you a very fast and clean front page. The only thing you can change is the content, call-to-actions, slider—etc. Whatever the page caters to.
So if you already have a front page your happy with don’t bother changing it. 🙂
October 13, 2013 at 12:57 am #4499The old child theme is fine 😀
October 12, 2013 at 9:56 pm #4433One more thing regarding that Category Meta plugin – its 2 years old because it uses very simple code that doesn’t need updating. It simply gives keywords the ability to store information, which I’m using for analytics.
The latest version of Symbiostock is going to track network-wide traffic, keyword info, etc. Just like on the main sites you can see most used keywords, this will give that ability too.
Your keyword log, which the Symbiostock main search engines use (cascoly, ajt) now includes how many times a given keyword has been searched.
When the Beta is done I’m going to *try* to give an explanation on every suggested plugin. But you get the idea.
October 12, 2013 at 9:39 pm #4290I’m going to disable this feature and improve it slightly. In this case 1 step forward gave 2 steps back. I’d rather make a more targeted solution than this lame-o javascript addition which gums up the works. Thanks for your patience.
October 12, 2013 at 9:38 pm #4432I’d say too — its attitude — and I know technology can be daunting. But its best just to disregard risk and jump in on this phase of developments. Literally, have fun. Its like diving. 40 feet beneath the ocean is not necessarily one’s natural environment. And things can go deadly wrong. But if you put aside fear theres a whole world to be discovered.
Yeah, its a lame little pep-talk 😀 but there’s something to it.

That’s the fun of installing Betas! They are always changing LOL! Everyday I’ve a new upgrade and things get fixed by the Hawaiian Elves 😀
Believe me, I need to see more “happy!” so this is great.
Hawaiian elves… I’d say its more like this actually —
http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Keenser
Its Keenser, a little engineering bay assistant for Scotty on the new star trek movies.
October 12, 2013 at 9:45 am #4274I’ll have it done tomorrow hopefully.

October 12, 2013 at 8:04 am #4391Its on the to-do list. Its just one of the bigger puzzles there are in the project. Once I get the important stuff completley caught up I may be able to give attn to that.
October 12, 2013 at 7:21 am #4389This is a CORE issue which goes back to day one. Its permanently over-ridden. It runs deep – not even worth explaining!
Basically its necessary to “lock” that for consistent network results. Unfortunately it applies to the blog too. I spent a month on this issue alone.
October 12, 2013 at 7:18 am #4270Refresh your page – so the javascript file reloads
October 12, 2013 at 7:11 am #4269I took the liberty of upgrading you. 😀 You have to delete the old theme before you install the new one — or just upgrade.
The latest is 2.7.7
