i’m checking on the tweeter thing now… sorry bout that.
February 3, 2014 at 2:49 am #9227Curious – both versions were suffixed with a “-mod” … I’m assuming you put that there while troubleshooting?
The first thing I did was deactivate all plugins. Then I updated both the basic theme and professional plugin. Then I deactivated/reactivated the premium plugin (thinking perhaps another plugin was stopping the image database/functions).
Anyway, its working now. You may have to put a few widgets back.
Do this please, because I don’t recal which plugins you were using:
Activate them one by one. With each one you activate, do a search in another window, ensuring the batch editor still works with each one.
Other than that, things seem to be working. Let me know if I misunderstood anything.
February 3, 2014 at 1:52 am #9225I’m almost done the .org facelift, then I’m onto your puzzle.
February 3, 2014 at 1:45 am #9186Ladybird! I’ll add a little “ladybug/ladybird” edit…
Its actually a neat history:
http://www.ask.com/question/why-are-ladybirds-called-ladybirds
The ladybird is an insect that is found in Coccinellidae which is a family of beetles. The name Ladybirds originated in Britain where the insects were known as Our Lady’s Bird as Mary(Our Lady) was most often depicted as wearing a red cloak in early paintings of her and the seven spots in the insect were used to symbolize the seven joys and seven sorrows.
February 2, 2014 at 11:01 pm #9152Its a simple matter to put in a “TESTING SITE” flag in. Or even a simple DO NOT INDEX for symbio-hubs. I’ll see if I can work that in.
February 2, 2014 at 10:37 pm #9224A small secret with the premium version — if searches are *wrong* its possible that simply deactivating/reactivating will repopulate all the keywords properly. thats actually why there is a delay when you activate it — it rebuilds the image search database. But the twitter poster runs deep — I’ve been working on that for a while. I have it working in many cases, but I still find there are those having problems.
February 2, 2014 at 10:27 pm #9222Give me an admin account! The magic words … 😛
leo [at] symbiostock.comTwitter poster has been a nightmare since the beginning, which is funny because its actually the most valuable asset in this package. I’ll see what is going on and it might mean another fix today.

Leo, it looked like my test site showed up. It is ID: 000043. Does that really matter? Is that good or bad?
Brings up the question on keeping the ID’s cleaned up. What happens when sites go away?
I’ll be throwing in a few more validations — your simply seeing some basic stuff in action.
A more refined version (easy to implement) is that before it logs to the database it will make sure it finds a symbiocard, or that the site even exists. Also they will not just show up by default, but rather I’ll be validating them before they go active. Much like AJT, we have to make sure the site is ready before its promoted.Generally though I’m happy to have made progress in a few of these network toys. Fun though they are, they will be extremely beneficial in helping things move forward faster.

So it was me 😳
Thanks very much Leo, I would not even have thought of that, will redo it all in the morning, is bed time so will probably make mistakes if I try and do it now.
Big deal! Symbiostock is built on mistakes and patience! If people were not patient on my silly mistakes…it would be a lonely network.
Besides, being an animal fan myself makes it fun troubleshooting your site. That little rott puppy is your new one yes?
Anyway, keep this post in mind next time someone mentions a similar problem.
February 2, 2014 at 9:22 pm #8578FOUND IT!
This was one of the most ellusive needles in a haystake to date. Like, in terms of scale, the haystack was about the size of an ice-berg and the needle was stuck inside the hollows of the grass.
No joke, this was like looking for a coral snake in a big vat of squirming king snakes…
(http://www.wikihow.com/Tell-the-Difference-Between-a-King-Snake-and-a-Coral-Snake)
And so forth.
Ok, thats an exaduration.
THE PROBLEM: Broken HTML destroys POST data.
When you choose a license, the document must submit the chosen value. However, if the HTML is broken, the doc does not post correctly. Strangely enough, it did seem that things were posting properly…still, according to FireBig.
So first off, let me explain what is wrong here. You have a place for “added text” and you were using this HTML:
Standard Licence
Uses Permitted:
Single use
Advertising up to print run of100,000 copies
Book editorial content or cover
Single fine art print,
Electronic/website max dimension of 800 pixels
Uses Not Permitted
Print on Demand (see Extended Licence
Cards, Calendars etc (see Extended Licence)
See End User Licence Agreement for full details

Electronic media, website-maximum dimension of 800 pixels on longest side

The first problem is that “” is no longer valid HTML. The second problem is that “
” and “
” should be “
” and “
” in accordance with modern html standards (it being an xhtml development a decade or so old). Its possible those incorrect tags were confusing the document posting process. Please note I’ve deleted that HTML from all of your licenses, but you may refer to this post to get the text back and correct it.
Second possibility (seeing that firebug was still showing post values)…Is that the HTML in general is messing up the cart, which I never anticipated. (I’ve never seen this problem) so its possible you should not use HTML in that field, (though unlikely) and if HTML in general is what is hurting it, please let me know.
In general its best to leave the majority of verbage for the actual license page, and simply toss a few one-liners in that particular field you were using.

I am really hoping that Leo will be able to work out what I have done to cause this issue
It probably isn’t you 😀
On that note, people often say I think “I am always right” and always imply its their problem. While often it can be true, its also often not true. Anyway, working on it now.
February 2, 2014 at 8:35 pm #8605Hello,
Your right — the plugin that has to be removed is the emails/notifications. The way you do that is you deactivate the theme and them delete the plugin. Upon reactivation the email plugin will reinstall and if I’m not mistaken that should take care of it.
February 2, 2014 at 8:32 pm #8591Hello just an update, I’ve been checking your site out again — you do indeed have the later version of PHP running. I’m going to give it some more attention today and see if we can finally drill down to the cause here.

For anyone who’s curious what practical value this has, I’ve already started using this sitelist to loop through the sites and get browsershots which will be used as site previews on the main .com site. Whereas I’ll be naming the images via ID, for now I did a test run using AJT’s list.
