I do not like to be negative after all your work but after trying out 2.6.8 on my testing site I find I very much prefer the header and layout I have now as it has taken me a long time working out how to get it how I like it – and nothing flashes at me :), will you be able to offer a third option please ?

The change I really like in 2.6.8 is the log in box with login and registration side by side so they can easily be seen.

2. Email and Payment Process Communication – the paypal section looks as if the layout has got a bit squished with a line running though the ipn box address

If no network activated – shows as V 2.5.0 and mentions the splitting of compound keywords

Some days I get a lot of throttling – none in the last 24 hours though.

If you use Wordfence check the Blocked IP’s you might find one like this

I think that google searched the page and whatever it finds on that page it files away in its massive brain. You will notice that that that the image you link to does appear on that page but as a thumbnail – this is a standard google practice and I think it is why you will quite often find other people’s images appear when you do a site search.

It is not just with Symbiostock it can happen with any google search

Which is more important – getting rid of Leo’s name that few people will see or register and letting it disappear over time or re-submitting your sitemaps and having to wait for them to be re-done – does it have to start from scratch again if you do that?

That is my feeling also – single use, limited print runs, no royalty free and I have recently included extended licences, for anything different they can contact me.

I believe when you are searching the first (fastest) site to finish the search comes up at the top below the site owner, the next fastest second and so on.

Other random sites – due to someone searching on a promoted keyword they have used, these work on your network’s networks as well as your own network

You can request from this forum that people link to you, but you have to link to others from within your site.

Rather than giving you a direct link I will explain how to find it

Go to an image on someone’s site (most people have their author information on the single image page under the picture, if not it might be in the footer if they are using Syxtra plugin).

There will be something like “photographer info”, click on the dropdown box and select Network
this will be a list of the people/sites they are directly linked to

At the bottom of the page there will be a link to the Directory
this will be a list of links to everyone they are linked to and everyone their links are linked to.

For instance my directory should consist of 81 of the current 111 sites available which would give you a good selection to search though or you could go to symbiostock.info and look at everyone’s sites and choose who to network to. Very few people do fully reciprocal linking, some may link back to each other, others link to someone completely different which spreads the net wider. When you link to someone they will automatically receive an email letting them know you are linking to them.

Karen has made a very logical suggestion and might well have the answer.

If something has changed it would also explain why I do not have any by-line as my images have gone up (again) over the last few weeks and been reprocessed a couple of times in the last week as I have moved domains and tried to get imagick working again
