Headers.
There are more options if you go into headers via Themes than Customise.
The delete option does not work for headers in customise – you have to delete from Media
In Themes, Headers if you (I) select the crop button I get the following message

Shall I stop trying to find anomalies until you have a chance of catching up with them 😀

Question: Is it possible that something done recently has upset Wordfence – something locks me out of the site and I have to delete the plugin it to get in again, as soon as it try and reload it, it locks me out again. This is on my testing site with latest versions (as far as I know) of everything. If anyone else with a test site uses it or could try it for me I would appreciate hearing how you get on so I can try and see if what I have done.

Blank screen – is that the php.ini 5.4 problem – changing to 5.3 should fix it if so (unless Leo can find a reason)?

Make a purchase from one paypal account (your own if you have two or a friends) paid into your own that is associated with symbiostock, either reduce the price of the item you are buying or refund after you are sure it works.

Like Cathy I could not make head not tail of the sandbox so did it live.

Connecting with other sites – you can connect to whoever you wish, at the moment I would suggest finding up to 9 sites you would like to be associated with (have their images come on on your site when potential clients do a search) and filling the tenth spot with AJT’s http://symbiostock.info which is the main search so the images of everyone who is listed come up

Under here will see your site listed, click the + sign to bring up a space to add a network member.
add details on finding network member

Either:
Click on the greyed out blue cross to bring up a text box,
If you know the name type the full address of the site you would like to link to into the box then select the Update Symbiocards box – scroll down and click Save
or
Click on one of the links on the directory pages of a site/click on the drop down author box and select author page, then
select Author Attributes and Symbiocard,
scroll down to get Symbiocard and save it to your computer,
Browse and upload it to the space provided.

If symbiostock is not playing nicely always turn your plugins off as they might be the cause

Symbiostock syxtra . Great plugin on 2.6.5 but but if symbiostock 2.7.* is not playing nicely make sure it is the first on to turn off to test which might be the cause (sorry plrang my favourite widgets work, others do not)

Wordfence. A protection and see who is visiting plugin. Is capable of locking you out of your own site. Sometimes this is user error, sometimes not as I will have to work out when I get to a computer again

Pininterest block. Appears harmless so far and does not sem to add to loading times

Professional Plug-in 1.2.1 BUG (running with Symbiostock V 2.7.3 )
Jo has just found another bug.

Licences, if you click on the little licence icon it dims down the page but the licence information does not appear – you have to refresh or back out of it to unlock.

I have not even looked at collections yet. Once you have published them is that it or can you add different images/adjust price etc at any time?

It is available in 2.7.* (this is in beta so I would advise setting up a test site to play with it until Leo tells us it is ready for final release)

These were the directions Jo gave in another thread when I asked him (yes 2.7.* )

Since I started off on this latest beta version of Symbiostock, I learnt it all from scratch by poking around. When you upload images for the Header (Appearance > Header) I realised that there was a radio button that says “Random: Show a different image on each page.”

When you upload an image it sets it as the header for all pages but you can then go back and tick the “Random” radio button and it randomly loads one of your “Header” images you uploaded. So make a few and upload them.

When I realised this I converted my logo to a transparent overlay and I thought it worked well. As for figuring out the sizes I just used the random upload and test method! Just remember to delete your tests or duplicates etc. so they aren’t forgotten and loading randomly LOL!

Very roughly, if you create an image 1200×250 pixels, it will work both at full screen width and then it will reduce the width (progressively cutting off the image from the right to left) as you make the browser window smaller.

The actual HEIGHT of the Header image works according to your Logo image. I padded my Logo Top and Bottom with transparency in order to force the header to show more of my Header image. Normally it is just the height of your logo and no more. My Logo PNG file is 500x168px so I’m guessing that I’m viewing about 170 to 180 pixels of the top of my actual header.

Last note, when you upload your image for the Header it follows to the next screen where you can either “crop your image” or “skip cropping” it. You can just skip cropping it if you have sized your image before uploading. You could just upload a full sized image and then crop it online but I think it is better to reduce the images to the right size and apply a little sharpening before uploading.
