Attributes are super complex – one of the central parts of Symbiostock’s engine is to remain parallel with WooCommerce with regards to attributes so it does not break. There’s that – then there’s the fact that the bulk edit and quick edit screens are also highly complex.

This is something I would not touch with a ten foot pole. However, there may be plugins that exist to assist in this regard. You can even probably search to see if someone has mentioned it. One final thing to examine is the top right corner where it allows you to determine the view – maybe the attributes section is unchecked or something which is preventing it from showing.

We’re hoping to get 3.0 and the video update released at the same time as the hosting solution (or before it). Hopefully this week.

Hey there – that part of WordPress is managed by WordPress and WooCommerce (mostly). Symbiostock does not manipulate the attributes part of the bulk edit. I’m guessing it is WooCommerce as they altered the way attributes work in 2.5.

See, the problem is that Symbiostock is not cosmetic software; it is processing large images, and doing it with the same quality as professional software such as Photoshop. In order to manifest this in a web environment, you need servers that will provide both the software and hardware to sustain such processes.

Accordingly, it requires a bit more examination than just a standard website and many people are comfortable setting up their own dedicated server or VPS. However, for most people, signing up and having a shared environment that provides this right off the bat is ideal.

The problem is there are no shared environments we’ve ever found that cater to the memory and CPU requirements that image processing demands. If you sign up with Blue Host, or Namecheap, or GoDaddy, within about a week you’re likely to encounter slow down, or your site will go offline, or some aspect here or there may not even work off the bat.

We originally were planning on not getting re-involved in the hosting aspect of Symbiostock, but after retiring PLUS and dealing with support request after support request that just involved debugging precisely what incompatibility or failure a web host had, we’ve determined that no one else is able to provide the same hosting solution that we can.

So we’ve invested a great deal of time and effort into an infrastructure that is both cutting edge and more sophisticated than many other hosts. We’re finalizing the system this week and hope to open it within a few days.

Pricing will be competitive to dedicated wordpress hosting on other sites and we’ll provide that upon launch.

    Hi Steve,

This is not a high priority right now as we are getting the new hosting system online and releasing 3.0. Then Symzio, and theme development in between.

    Hi Steve,

Medium one-time-use licenses are priced at $1.99 on Symzio – it is the full-size royalty-free licenses that are priced according to what you set in your Symzio settings in your Symbiostock install.

wordpress > media > library will just delete the thumbnails.

If you want to delete all the media, you have to do it manually but you can change the number of products that show up by clicking on that dropdown thing at the top right corner of the list view to change how many products can be seen. If you put it at like 100 and delete them in bulk you only have 18 pages which should take about 10-12 minutes.

Nope – change I made is backward compatible and will be contained in Symbiostock 3.0 anyways. You should be good to go.

Yeah, that might be a good idea. PHP7 introduces a lot of new syntax stuff and you may have other errors.

Edit wp-config in your root wordpress directory and set the ‘debug’ variable to false

Issue has been rectified, however it was due to your server using PHP7. We’re not yet tested and working with that version.

That fatal error should not be happening.

PM me your login info and I’ll take a look.

So the issue was Alistair is running on a 32bit version of Linux and the ffmpeg that bundles with Symbiostock Video is 64 bit. We’ll add a failsafe for this now.

Okay, now that GD is installed, it should parse your images just fine. Give it a go and let us know.
