I’m modeling pretty much everything off Shutterstock since they are the market leader. I may tweak certain things here and there, but other than that I’ll probably stay tight lipped about the actual algorithm so people can’t game it (or at least, to minimize gaming it).
Therefore, titles that are too long will get truncated, descriptions that are too long will get truncated, and too many tags will get truncated. As for tags, I’m following the SS limit of 50 for now. However, all this is going to change as I get a chance to see how the results are panning out, and how the relevancy is working.
By truncated, that means that it will only register a limited length of the title to a certain limit, as with descriptions. However, there is no priority order, so it doesn’t matter if a keyword is first or last.
September 11, 2015 at 8:40 pm #24029It’s on our list, but there is only so much we can do. I need to work on my own site at some point as well, and with the release of Symbiostock 2.0 I am trying to ramp down the amount of plugin production there is. I may create a paid support system at some point so that people who need custom work or specific assistance can get dedicated help from someone in the Symbiostock team.
Edit: The title and description should already be imported into WooCommerce by Symbiostock. It imports the ‘title’, ‘headline’ and ‘description’ EXIF fields, among others.
September 11, 2015 at 4:22 pm #24027Hi Nikd,
Read this doc:
http://www.symbiostock.org/docs/symbiostock-importerexporter/
And follow the link provided to download the Importer/Exporter. Remember to do a test run before going through the whole site to ensure you have everything running as expected. If you need assistance, let me know.
September 11, 2015 at 4:18 pm #24026September 11, 2015 at 3:35 pm #24023It’s a WooCommerce extension, so I don’t want to pirate the code by bundling it with Symbiostock:

(Even though it is open source)

As a result it is first re-doing all your thumbnails, then it will get to the new images. Do you have the processor running on a cron job? If so, looks like you have plenty of memory on your machine. I suggest you increase your processor load to 10 so it gets through them quicker.
Edit: I will reverse the order the processor does stuff, actually. I will have it re-do thumbnails after it adds new images. I’ll add this in the next release. For now, I’ve manually changed it on your side.
September 10, 2015 at 12:38 pm #24015Hi Monica,
It all depends – sometimes it just takes time because we are swamped – at other times we are waiting to see the types of images you will be including in the network. Sometimes people apply before their stores / images are online, and we can’t approve you at that point because we need to see the types of media you will be submitting.
I’ve just approved your application, so you should be good to go.
