I am really curious if all that text indeed helps drive targeted traffic.
What are the driving queries? (if it is not a huge secret and know how)
How many SEO visitors buy your pictures? (if you track it somehow)March 17, 2014 at 1:54 pm #9126Who buys your content: search engines or people?
What the ultimate effect is expected from search engines?
What are the search terms that will bring you additional traffic? What kind of traffic will it be?
March 17, 2014 at 12:50 pm #9123I am really excited by the opportunity to share with you my best photographic work. My love of photography has primarily been in the areas of landscape and nature photos, but I am branching out into architectural scenes. There is a wealth of mining communities in Arizona that have wonderful older buildings to photograph. My wife and I also love to travel to Hawaii where there is an amazing array of natural beauty to take advantage of.
Why do buyers need to know this? What problems can they resolve with this statement?
March 11, 2014 at 12:41 pm #9117A nicely designed page with a clear scope: make people leave their contacts. If a visitor does not leave a contact, it’s a lost visitor, especially if (s)he is paid for.
A list of contacts is a precious asset in any business, especially in a small one. That’s why I also asked an integration with e-mail service in the topic I have started recently.
Here is another article on landing pages: http://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/7-landing-page-design-tips (note the first example with “grab coupon” button. Coupons are yet another powerful marketing tool: people like to enter coupon and to see how price goes down. It gives them a feeling of a control).
For now, what I see in many symbiostock sites: a bunch of various (and often not the very best) pictures, explanation of royalties, “look at me and my cool pictures”, and other distracting stuff that that I have not time to study carefully since I cannot understand benefits for me, and therefore I (and many others potential buyers) close the site and forget about it.
Look at this: http://www.barackobama.com/last-call-splash/? If I am American, I become happy that, finally, somebody (personally President of US) takes care of my very specific problem, health insurance.
If my portfolio does not resolve any specific problem, I make a gift for my potential buyer: e.g., a coupon with a nice discount (even 100% for a certain amount of images), as a welcome gesture. Therefore, it is very important to have a functionality of discount for:
1. a group of customers (e.g., new ones);
2. a period of time (to urge a coupon to be used);
3. a number of pictures (e.g. only 100 downloads can be done with this discount, if you are too late, you will not benefit a discount);
4. a group of pictures (e.g., Easter theme, to resolve a specific problem of a designer who is seeking for Easter theme pictures).There should be possibility to enforce any combination of these constraints.
I promise to buy the pro-plugin today or tomorrow, and to test if it allows such a flexibility. If not, I will probably ask for a refund ))) or for a promise that developers will implement those constraints.
March 11, 2014 at 10:18 am #10274Agree on free networking among symbiostock holders. However, if I have a set of registered users and I would like to involve them into the life of my shop, I would offer them some affiliation program. The world of mouth is one of the most powerful marketing technologies, if not the most one. So if there is a mean to encourage and enforce it, it would help a lot in driving more traffic to the site.
March 11, 2014 at 9:19 am #10272March 11, 2014 at 8:43 am #10271Another set of marketing-related features that have come to my mind:
10. Statistics on every buyer: how many transactions, total amount of money spent, average money per transaction. How long a buyer hasn’t bought anything. These are extremely important KPIs.
General statistics: how many transactions per buyer, total amount of money spent, average amount of money per transaction.
11. Integration with some mailing services like getresponse or mailchimp: any registered user is transferred to a mailing list. As soon as user decides to unsubscribe, (s)he becomes eliminated also from registered users. Yet the latter is not actually needed.
12. If you like the idea of integration, then it would be nice to have a possibility to select certain users, e.g. if they brought me more than $1000, and send them an e-mail offer, to those who is still subscribed in mailing service.Well, I admit that these features is a sort of CRM functionality. From my view point, as well as from a view point of many entrepreneurs, we do not have marketing if we do not have relations with customer. In addition, CRM part would add more value to pro-plugin.
March 11, 2014 at 8:02 am #10270Stupid question: where can I find a pro-plugin?
Another very important issue that was not published among my approved post (wrote before this topic was created). This issue is related to “cart” functionality. It is very desirable to make “add to cart” for every image in search result, for every image preview. And more over, it is highly desirable to permit a buyer to change a size of a selected image at the page of check out. For example, the latter is implemented in fotolia.
I am sure that this will improve sales a lot.
March 10, 2014 at 11:47 pm #4165Copy from microstock.group (http://www.microstockgroup.com/symbiostock-suggestions/feature-request-list/75/)
Suggestions are related to customer’s cart:
1. I would like to have an icon “add to cart” for any picture in a search result, as there is a button “zoom” when I do mouse hover.
2. Possibility to select a different size when a picture is in the cart. (as in fotolia)
3. When I zoom a picture, I would like to have, again, a button “add to cart”, as there is a button “go to picture page”.Is it possible?
March 10, 2014 at 11:40 pm #9115Very nice post. Highly recommended. I haven’t seen any meaningful landing page at symbiostock sites so far.
