Hi Thamkc, I did a quick test on https://www.toolsmeow.in/h1-h2-headings-checker/ with your website URL. It appears that you have not any h1 or H2 tag on your home page, and it certainly hurt your SEO. Your product page url is generally too long and not optimized too : http://www.thamkc.com/?product=street-food-bazaar-in-malaysia-catered-for-iftar-during-ramadan-fasting-month-9. You will better use a seo friendly url like http://www.thamkc.com/shop/festive-and-culture/street-food-bazaar-in-malaysia (try to be under 75 characters for your url and avoid “?” character.) See best practice here : https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_Permalinks_Screen Choose for example /shop/%product_cat% for your “custom base” in product permalinks. All your products url will need to be reindexed by Google but it will certainly improve your SEO. Hope it can help you to enjoy more sales ;)

Hi Chrisroll – thanks for the sharing and I will look into optimizing my page.   Cheers.

Hi Guys – I have inserted the link exchange page listing those who are willing to do the exchange (http://www.thamkc.com/?page_id=25753), but have not been tracking my site performance. Please do let me know those who have listed me but I have not done so in reciprocal.

So far I have enjoyed only 1 sale from my personal site since it was set up some 9 months ago.  So, it will be a cost center for me for a while to come, but I have expected it coz it is never easy to sell through  personal site especially when I don’t have a large portfolio.   I set my personal site more as a feeder to Symzio… but unfortunately have not got any sale as yet from Symzio as yet.   On a more positive note, my downloads volume from other microstock libraries is about 2,300 a month with 50% contributed from Shutterstock.  Same portfolio.  Cheers.

Thanks George and Songquan.  I have just created a page and added both of you too, as well as Picture Breeze, Backyard Stock, and 3D Fonts.  Will improve on the appearance again tonight, and add others.

Congrats Andrea, Amazeindesign, Robin and others who made recent sales through Symzio.  That’s good motivation.

I have listed in Symzio for some 3 months already but have not broken the egg.  Hope to land one soon, and am happy if it is just a 1.99.   Cheers.

Thanks Airphotogr.  Actually am referring to other contributor’s image (not my own image) that would appear on my website with me already installed the Symzio widget.  The featured images of these contributors are always the same.

I’m relatively “tech blind” and went for Bluehost since it was endorsed directly in WordPress.  Is my first time hosting photos and more of an experiment and went for the cheapest package of $3.95 per month.  Have loaded some 2,700 images now taking up some 19 gb of space according to the stats in C-panel.   Things work as intended, cron job, etc. I have not ask for direct help but rather went through the self-help directories and videos.

Response from the site seem to be getting slower and slower in loading pages compared to when I had fewer images when started a month ago.  But, no complaint from me as long as it can do the job of feeding into Symzio.  I have to be realistic that it is the cheapest shared hosting available.  Am taking this as a learning curve and will decide as we dwell deeper into the project on whether to upgrade to a more premium hosting package.  My site http://www.thamkc.com.  Thanks.

No. I have not, Robin.  It needs the Video plug-in to work? Thanks.

Thanks Robin. I will look forward to participate in discussions and help propagate Symzio in my personal capacity.  Hope Symzio could be a force to be reckon with, in the near future competing along side with other agencies.

Andre – am aligned to you that not everyone goes for cheapest.  The fact that premium agencies like Shutterstock still hold the lion share of the market despite the same images are also made available at other cheaper agencies proved the argument.

I was not touching on price but instead was suggesting having a bigger size image option at Symzio albeit not the full size so to tap the market of buyers who wants something more than a basic 800 px image.  Price them at a price that would be competitive (and not cheaper).  3 options would then be available, instead of 2 presently.

I am aware that we have the freedom of options on our own sites, but as we know is difficult to generate sales there… hence the idea of having Symzio. My apologies if this has been discussed in the past.  I might have missed the thread.

Yes. That’s my question and I managed to locate the star and tested it. It worked.  Thanks so much, Steve.

I am of opinion that a FB Group for contributors complements this forum.  This forum is great with good archive systems by subjects and a good knowledge base, whereas a FB group has the advantages by way of its simple interface and encourages interaction and discussions.   Am not envisaging of using FB group to connect with customers though as I cannot see how it can do that.  The existing Symzio FB page would be a better bet to reach out to potential customer.  It has only 20 Likes at the moment.   Check it out:  https://www.facebook.com/symzio/
