Let me know who else does it (as well as your website if its not in your signature. I need to make sure updates get logged properly (along with ids given to sites.
February 1, 2014 at 2:08 am #9042Given the vote I kept it as a choice. I hope everyone keeps analytics ON, because if too many people keep it off it defeats the purpose.
Also, there is a new field in the Symbiocards, which notify the hub sites as to whether or not analytic is turned on or off.
“symbiostock_public_analytics” ( 1=on, 0=off )
So at least when the user makes a choice not to share, it allows the hubs sites the choice whether or not to evaluate the site, as well.
February 1, 2014 at 12:26 am #9106Thats really cool! The party is happening at your house 🙂
February 1, 2014 at 12:25 am #9040I hope everyone shares their thoughts on this thread and submits a vote. In the meantime, I’m releasing the new version to test out the system.

Instead of music, it sets a calm atmosphere. Sometimes its stuff that resembles music, sometimes its just interesting ambient sounds… strange. I find its nice, because music can be overstimulating and distracting…whereas this seems to help me work much better.
In my earlier years I wouldn’t have listened to anything like this! I guess its a sign of age!
January 31, 2014 at 8:07 pm #9100I just wanted to let you know I saw this post and I’ll try to get a good answer to you today if possible.
January 31, 2014 at 8:04 pm #9098Great job! Thats often not an easy subject to approach — its one of the harder tools to master.
When I have the site set up, do you mind if I pipe in intros to your blog? I’ll be doing the same with a few others with their permission.

Are you sure it was a space sign in Ron’s username? – I have a space in it, too. Everything seems (?) to be fine. Should I be worried, now? 😕
That is wierd. Did you sign up to this version with a space in your name? I’m amazed if so.
January 31, 2014 at 8:17 am #9084I got my hopes up a little too high 🙁
Same as when I converted the last time, it seems to cut off at 7000 posts even. If you look at the temp forum linked above, there are 7,355 posts. 355 is what were lost.
Anyway, I’m done for the night — chances are good I will have to hold off on this.
January 31, 2014 at 6:29 am #9083If possible, I was wondering if someone might link to the post which reflects the beginning of lost dates.
January 31, 2014 at 4:02 am #9082And another thing — right now the hub sites (like cascoly and ajt’s) have a daily routine, and they will have to cycle through hundreds of sites to detect changes. This, conversely, posts to the sites if changes have occurred, allowing them to know who’s information to update and who’s not to.
January 31, 2014 at 3:59 am #9081The site IDs will end up being the main key for accounts on http://www.symbiostock.com.
From the beginning I had intended to set up a classy site directory and secondary search, among many other things. This is at least setting up a foundation. So if I wish to coordinate information in a database, the site-id would be the main key 😀
Its simple stuff…I thought people might enjoy that after a year sites have official numerical IDs. Its more cute than important.
January 31, 2014 at 3:25 am #9079PS: The only information shared is your site URL. Nothing else. The remaining information will be from your site’s symbiocard, which everyone has control over.
