I had to reupload some of the images (watermark, logo etc.)
And also my “Edit CSS” was reset, but fortunately I had most of my custom CSS elsewhere.Other than that, no problems.
Maybe I messed up during the upgrade but just in case, do backup your custom CSS before replacing the theme files
September 24, 2013 at 3:29 pm #3132Okay that’s good to know 🙂
So I guess I’ll just wait for Google to index the actual images with watermarks, and hopefully these will show up with the correct captions. I’m seeing more and more images being indexed everyday
Thanks!
September 22, 2013 at 10:35 pm #1914I don’t know about you guys, but I’m planning to run a blog and write lots of articles to (hopefully) drive some traffic from Google..
I run another (danish) blog that has gained a lot of daily traffic and I’ve learned that good quality content and lots of it, with a good amount of patience increase traffic considerably..
So I’ll write about what I know (one topic could be “what is a vector illustration”? etc. – it still has to be relevant to potential customers)I hope others will consider this option as well
September 22, 2013 at 5:18 pm #1445September 22, 2013 at 1:23 pm #3087Update: works now 😉 Hostgator live support are always helpful
September 22, 2013 at 12:51 pm #3083If I remove “http://” from the ref-parameter it works, which is odd.. I will look into that, no question the problem is on my end
September 22, 2013 at 12:40 pm #3079Hmm, seemingly there’s a problem
When I search on your site and my images come up, you get to a non-existent page when clicking my results – for instance:
It seems to be the last part “?r=http://www.cidepix.com” that creates the problem, I have no idea why, because it works on my site with your images even though the URL has the referral bit in the end

I recommend adding http://symbiostock.info at the bottom as well..
Thanks, yes I will do that!
September 22, 2013 at 12:27 pm #3076Okay, thanks for the info
Done! And seems to be working 🙂
Neat site by the way!
ETA: Is there anything that affects which “number” you will be in the search results?
I mean you’re my only network partner right now, so obiously the placement of your results will be right below mine.
But if I had 10, would it just randomly choose the order of partner sites upon searching, or does it list site depending on relevance, port size etc., connections or other parameters ?
September 22, 2013 at 11:47 am #3073Btw, I just did the premium upgrade so things look terrible at my site right now, but the design will improve in a couple of days
September 22, 2013 at 11:45 am #3072Hi cidepix,
That would be GREAT! 🙂
Do I send my symbiocard by e-mail and you send me yours, then we each upload it through the WP panel or how does this work?
Sorry for asking newbie questions
September 22, 2013 at 10:59 am #3069Where do I find the network? Is it possible to request a partnership somewhere in the WP panel ?
September 21, 2013 at 9:14 am #2990Just a quick tip:
I use a free code editing software called Sublime Text
There you can search in entire directories at once and you will find what you need in no time (just do a search in the Symbiostock theme directory).
You can also right click on any item directly on the web page, inspect element/show details, find the name of a class, a div or whatever, then do a directory search (ctrl + shift + F in sublime edit) for that class and quickly edit it if you have to.
For instance you might want to change an h2 to a h1 and vice versa
September 21, 2013 at 7:06 am #3050I managed to get it to work 🙂
However, it only redirects within 10 seconds, so what’s the difference anyway?
What I did was create a separate PayPal account and make sure it was a business account.
Return to website doesn’t work on personal or merchant accounts it seems
I (thought I) upgraded my personal account to a business one, but apparently that didn’t work.
The PayPal interface for my personal and business accounts now appear to be exactly the same, so it’s really not easy to figure which is which. Is it worth it though having two different PayPal accounts just to get “return to website” to work ? Probably not.. You’ll have to link and verify your creditcard again and it takes a couple of days probably
September 20, 2013 at 2:59 pm #3045Okay I see you commented on that MSG post, so you are obviously already aware of it 😉
ETA: I did click “upgrade” to get a business account, but the problem might be it’s still a personal or merchant account or something. Will look into this and get back (I find the PayPal accounts thing very confusing)
