I’m aware that many contributors have FAQs, guides etc on their individual sites – and that is all very helpful. However, I still think that it would be beneficial for everyone (potential customers and hence us as contributors) to have an ‘official’ customer orientated page under the umbrella of the main Symbiostock site. I appreciate that each of our sites are different but this is surely one of the facts that need to be celebrated and clearly explained to customers (e.g. that different license agreements, different price points etc exist at individual sites) otherwise they might be left wondering why there are such variations. Plus, there are many features that can be explained in a very general manner that wouldn’t infringe or contradict the more unique elements of our individual sites.
Michele, the ‘marketing message’ and ‘How to Buy’ guide on your site are excellent. I believe having a ‘generalized’ version of these on the Symbiostock site proper (with the Symbiostock logo etc) would be an ideal page for every contributor to link to for a universal ‘Buyer’s Guide’ that would add extra credibility for our customers – but it’s only a suggestion.November 18, 2013 at 11:25 pm #7254I just notice I had this issue also. Thanks for the tips guys, after following your instructions it’s all fixed now.
November 12, 2013 at 6:39 pm #3980Thanks for that link. I’ll run through it and see if there’s anything in there that I’ve missed which might solve the problem.
I’m also doubtful switching host will change things but right now I’m willing to try anything as I’m running out of leads with my current set-up.November 12, 2013 at 1:14 pm #3978Yes, I’ve deactivated all my plug-ins but still getting a blank white screen when I switch to 5.4
I’m not sure what else to do at this stage other than trying a new host.November 12, 2013 at 12:29 pm #3976@christine wrote:
Which version of Symbiostock are you using, V 2.9.4 is compatible with PHP version: 5.4 (it is with my setup anyway),
Hi Christine,
Yes, I’m using SS V 2.9.4. Which seems to work fine with bluehost PHP 5.3 but as soon as I switch to 5.4 my site just changes to a blank white screen. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Maybe it’s something very simple I’m overlooking. I guess I’ll have to have another tinker under the hood.November 12, 2013 at 11:58 am #3974@shotupdave wrote:
i believe the current version of symbiostock is fully compatible with 5.4
Well I just get a blank screen when I upgrade to 5.4
Maybe I’m missing something, but I’m not sure if I can invest time in building a site hosted at bluehost for it to be rendered useless in a few weeks…. and then constantly having to dance to this tune each and every time bluehost decide to upgrade in the future.Does anyone know of a host that might be more ‘future-proofed’ with regards to symbiostock compatibility of their ongoing upgrades?
November 11, 2013 at 11:31 am #3969Hey everyone,
I’m excited by Symbiostock’s potential and slowly building my site.
After being away last month noticed things were down after bluehost automatically upgraded me to 5.4. I reverted to 5.3 and got things back on track but just got an email from bluehost informing me as of 01 Dec 2013 they will no longer support 5.3 and that they will automatically upgrade me (and everyone else I assume) to 5.4. It doesn’t sound like I’ll have the option to revert to 5.3 next month.
Does anyone know if symbiostock will support bluehost 5.4 by 01 Dec 2013? Or should I ditch bluehost before I invest too much effort in loading up my portfolio there.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -
