With bundles you have to manually add products to it through an AJAX search field, so it is not ideal, but still an option. Organizing data is always an interesting thing so perhaps once 2.0 is out we can figure out a way of organizing content by tags in some manner.

Right now, I think a majority of web-visitors will likely click on the associated tag once they find an image they are interested in to see more like it. I feel that has become somewhat of a standard reaction.

Listing all the tags used in the entire site is reasonably easy, but would look very messy because aside from official names, you’d get stuff like ‘sport’ or ‘football’, or anything else that is included as a tag.

One other option is categorizing them by his name, but then you may have an overabundance of categories.

There is one other option. With Symbiostock 2.0, I am going to be adding a few extra features to the PLUS servers. One of these is ‘Bundled Products’. This basically allows you to sell groups of images together as one product. If you did this for individual people, it would serve as an easy way for visitors to see all the products assigned to this one player in one place. Similarly, if people wanted to download all the images pertaining to this person, they could do so with that one product.

    Would that sort of work?

In that case, it wouldn’t be a search then – it would have to match the tag exactly because I think that’s the way the tag page works. So if even one character was off, it would result in nothing. For example, if I do this:

    http://www.rnru.co.uk/product-tag/fairbairn/

It does not provide any results even though you have tags that proportionally contain that term. Is this something that would be acceptable?

Search is primarily controlled by WordPress – it doesn’t even search tags by default. Symbiostock has been expanded to add tag searching. I will look into this functionality and perhaps expand on the search functions, but something like this is somewhat unlikely at this point since it would mean overriding a deeply integrated part of WordPress itself (kind of like creating a whole new plugin).

Let me look into it qter. This is more a WooCommerce thing than a Symbiostock thing as you basically want to remove the ecommerce functionality and instead have a simple download facility. I’ve had at least one other person request something like this, so I may look into coding an option myself.

Okay, so what it is is when you create/edit an agency, you need to specify what sort of media it will submit.

So right now you have Images and Vectors. If you want both, you check both. If you only want one or the other, or none, you check them accordingly. This way you retain full control of what is sent where.

As well, that agency will then only show up for the types of media it is associated to. So for example, if you only have JPEG checked, and you go to a vector, that agency won’t show up there.

My guess is you didn’t yet check any of those boxes, so no agencies are showing up yet.

So this is an even easier fix than the previous one!

    🙂

PS: As video will be coming out soon, you’ll have to also check that to submit them!

    Hey Andreas,

Just disable the Symbiostock Importer/Exporter. It’s a “safety” feature that prevents you from keeping it enabled. In Symbiostock 2.0 it will make it clearer why it is happening.

    🙂

I just tested your Buyout JPEG license – I clicked ‘Update Prices’ and submit, and everything changed to $250. Let me know what part of the process is not working for you. Just did it to $150, everything changed to $150. Let me know if it works for you.

Steve: I am assuming your problem has solved itself and was related to your images being corrupted or the 1.3.4 fix rectified it.

You can enable the ‘Personalize Product Page’ setting in your Symbiostock settings page. This should provide dimensions when a license is chosen.

For more personalized display of resolutions you would have to code it into your theme manually. Symbiostock Express provides certain features in that regard specialized for media sales.

Changes to licenses do not affect live products unless you click the ‘update prices’ checkbox on that license edit page. This is so that you have the option of personalizing licenses on an individual product basis as well.

Hey Joel. That is theme related:

    symbiostock-express/woocommerce/single-product/meta.php

Please be aware also that in Symbiostock 2.0 you can change all these terms via the settings page.
