I have got my basic site up and running, I know I still have lots of tweaking to do.
Any feedback welcome 🙂
http://www.hereswendy.comLooks like you are off to a great start. Tweaking is fun. It is amazing what you can do with Symbiostock and a few plugins.

I’m experiencing extremely slow search on my website at http://picturebreeze.com . It usually takes more than a minute until any results are returned.
To analyze where the issue is coming from I have disabled the caching plugin (WP Super Cache) but that didn’t really change anything.
Could somebody please try do do a search on my site, maybe for “dog” or “sea” or “horse” and let me know that I’m not the only one experiencing this?
And does anybody have an idea what the cause could be?
Oh, and BTW one more thing that might be worth mentioning. When I do a search, the result page will only list my site’s images and the ones coming from symbiostock.info but none of my network partner sites. Any idea?
I see the same result, very long search time, lots of images from your site and symbiostock.info but no network partner sites.
Have you tried to disable symbiostock.info and network partner sites to isolate where the problem is coming from?

I highlight my collections on my home page with links to them
and also have a full page with all collections
Very nice. Just proves that this is such a creative group. Always more then one way to get the job done.
Thanks.

I have only one collection (made for a promo) so I hadn’t tried this, but just did and got the same error you reported.
If you look at Leo’s site, he has a category called collections on his Collections menu
http://www.clipartillustration.com/image-type/illustration-stock-image-collections/
So possibly this is a known bug?
What do you mean about it not working as a drop down? You can list individual images in menus, and collections show up in that if you need to list some specific collection in a menu
Thanks for the suggestion. I did try the category called collections and that does work.
I had forgotten about creating a drop down menu with individual images, that works the way I like.😀
March 15, 2014 at 7:47 pm #10455I am not very good at twitter yet, so I hope I have set this up correctly.

March 12, 2014 at 8:32 am #10053This “game” has been a major success from the viewpoint of exposure.
I have seen a 500% increase in the number of hits on my web site, and twitter analytics has shown a huge jump with all the retweets and favorites.
I have not however seen an increase in sales, I am hope that is the next phase.

http://mysymsite.com/wpadmin brings up a login page, but it’s not well formatted
Thanks for that, Steve. Yes, I guess that’s the only way we can point people to a spot to login or register.
So I guess this link is the best one to my registration form: http://bestnaturestock.com/wp-login.php?action=register
Your help is much appreciated!
I am using OneAll Social Login plugin and it allows me to place a widget of social logins on the page. I currently have it setup on my home page next to the content. The plugin is not easy to setup, but once you do you can pretty much forget about it.
I have implemented many of the suggestions from the above links. My preference is to have a pretty busy page, but I can see the points made. So I have pulled back my back ground and headers, and I will probably reduce the text on the home page. I have added a discounted collection, so I hope to see some action on that.
I welcome constructive criticism.

There is another post in this thread from yesterday that is not showing up for some reason – could the poster please repost
I think that is my missing post:
Have there been any updates to this process? I can not seem to complete the step of putting the collection on the menu. It tells me that it is invalid. I looked in tutorials for instructions but was not able to locate anything.
Suggestions?

Even without app it’s fun and very time effective. I can do my tweets and retweets much quicker than checking my dwindling income from the few images iStock has from me 😆 – As long as I am not the only one left I’ll continue 8)

March 7, 2014 at 11:37 pm #10030Thanks to everyone that has retweeted my posts on twitter. I really appreciate it.
Any word on how the “game” is going?
March 6, 2014 at 4:53 am #7427I so appreciate you taking the time to set this up.
This is the image I would like to add when ever you have time.

March 3, 2014 at 10:32 pm #10029Just completed the upgrade to the professional Symbiostock version. I “think” I have the batch Tweet setup. We will just have wait and see.
Add me to the list.

February 24, 2014 at 6:55 am #9661Thanks for the lesson. Great to learn something new and put it right to use.
I have completed the installation. Hope I followed the instructions correctly.
sweetCaptcha has already stopped 8 spammer. So far I have not had a new client try to sign on so I don’t know if that part is working. I will have to setup a test user.
WP Super cache is setup and has cycled thru the preload of the cache. Seems to have improved page loads by 50% or more, but that is just a guess. Are there stats collected anywhere that we can track page load times?
Thanks!
