    Oh man!

I flip themes, back to Twenty Thirteen and then everything works again. Switching back to Symbiostock 2.9.4 seems good until I do a Ctrl-F5 refresh.
First I gave the blame to my Child-theme but the same happens to the official 2.9.4 and the Symbiostock child 0.01.

To be short, with the Twenty Twelve and Twenty Thirteen theme I can do a F5 and a Ctrl-F5 on http://www.jbstockimages.com/sitemap_index.xml

If I use a Symbiostock (child) theme a Ctrl-F5 the sitemap_index.xml turns blank and Google Webmaster gives me a 500 error.

Is this a Symbiostock theme bug?

    I think I have http://www.jbstockimages.com/sitemap_index.xml running again.

I had to change themes, to the Twenty Thirteen. There sitemap_index.xml was found again. Switching back to Symbio theme it worked with that theme also. Strange but also frustrating!

Hope that this solves my 10-20 site impressions. Doubt it though!

Yoast has been giving me too much headache with it’s sitemaps.

Can anyone suggest me a better sitemap plugin?

    Edit:
In the meantime I installed Google XML Sitemaps 3.3

No, I meant the hosting admin panel.

Try this and see if it helps.
Put this into your .htaccess file, then run WP SEO again and see if it created the sitemap file.

    AddHandler php5-cgi .php

I placed that at the end of the .htaccess file deactivated Yoast and reinstalled but that didn’t help too.

Well, it’s not in my root.

Then I think the plugin doesn’t have sufficient rights to create it in the root. Can you switch owner rights from FTP user to PHP user iside your admin panel? Who is your host?

The owner has all rights, that’s me. The Group and Others have RX.

My host is pcextreme, which is great. Inside my admin panel, do you mean the WordPress admin panel?

Well, it’s not in my root. The write permissions are 755. Owner has rwx, that’s should be ok I think.

I just checked my files in the root folder of my site.

What I find there is symbiostock_image_sitemap.xml, etc but not sitemap_index.xml
Should Yoast SEO place the sitemap_index.xml in the root folder?

I’d try to uninstall and then re-install WP SEO by Yoast. And then check the sitemap again.

Thanks for the tip but I have tried that, I not only deactivated it but also removed it completely and reinstalled.

    Did not help.

This logo is looking good but I notice that the logo on your site, http://symbiostock.info/, is of a low quality.

You are right, should be better now 🙂

I sometimes have the feeling that I am shooting with big, big cannon on fleas. Not a native English speaker 🙂

I have been selling via agencies too long and now I hardly know who my clients are and that’s a bad thing!! That’s the first thing I should know if I start a Symbiostock business. Where can I find them online? On Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Linkedin, Pininterest, YouTube,….? If I know the names I can follow, join, invite them.

I am very honest here, I don’t know the buyers names. Do you?
It would be great to pull their attention, individually or as a team, instead of shooting in the wild (Not a native English speaker 🙂 )

I don’t know but I think if we don’t have some big buyers backing us up we need exposure. Or better said Impressions, without impressions no exposure!

The graph below are the impressions of my site. I was so glad to reach 90 and even after the 90 impressions I have been uploading on a daily basis. The result is now 12 impressions. I know I have to do more marketing and need more links, etc. I have no duplicates.

Basically I have done nothing different or strange to cause this drop.
The frustrating part is that I have daily sales via agencies but struggle to get traffic on my own site.

    This is becoming pretty frustrating.

I have been slowly adding image to my site and I noticed the the “Impressions” were slowly rising from 0 to 90.
But then 2 weeks ago a sudden collapse from 90 to 12 within a week and now stabilizing around 22 to 12 impressions.

This is killing me as I don’t know why this just happens.

I have tried this before with Firefox but I always get an error message:
Sorry, you need a Mozilla-based browser (such as Firefox) to install a search plugin.

    Firefox 25 on Ubuntu.
