That’s odd the latest update that was in my dashboard was the one I mentioned in my first post. Unless 2.6.5 is the paid version number.
I’ve also got similar images issue with it not showing up. I’ll probably just disable it for now.
November 2, 2013 at 5:07 am #6558………… [EDITED BY CHRISTINE TO REMOVE UNWARRANTED REMARKS]
I’m going to go find that plugin that was suggested to see if that works since Jet Pack also didn’t work and did the same thing CF7 is doing not showing me the email addresses of the people that have used the contact form.
November 1, 2013 at 10:51 pm #6556Again, feel free to continue the struggle with Contact Form 7. Choice is yours but you have been told several times that it is NOT working currently.
Wow and whatever dude. Like I said nothing in this thread stated anything about that it doesn’t work with 3.7.1 nor on any thread I’ve read on the Word Press site. And you don’t think that part which I quoted was a little obnoxious given the fact that no one knew?
November 1, 2013 at 8:00 pm #6554@JoRidrigues Okay for 1 I didn’t know that it doesn’t work with WP 3.7 so don’t bite peoples heads off. Nothing I read on any forum over the last few days stated as such and nothing relating to the problem I was having with it.
@shotupdave I’ll give that one a try. Can you give me the developers name just in case there are a few plugins with the same name? Thanks.
October 31, 2013 at 2:10 pm #6550I had something similar to that based on one of the threads and it doesn’t work. Tried your suggestion and it still didn’t work. I even tried logging out and sending a message. It’s still not giving me the user inputted email address.
There’s a conflict between CF7 and the Symbiostock email and messages plugin. I know code but not sure where the conflict is so I need someone way smarter than me to see if they can find it. Unless it’s something with the CF7 short code I have no idea.
October 31, 2013 at 1:54 am #6548I’ve tried everything and there’s just no work around and I just don’t get it. Maybe I’ll put a separate contact thingy on my main site and direct it there then put some sort of redirect back to the stock site.
I’ll try that tomorrow coz my brain is fried at the moment.
October 31, 2013 at 1:40 am #6547Yeah no contact form should retain information after the submit button is pressed. Might be a bluehost thing on your end though mine has to be related to the SY theme and that plugin I pointed out. Once I disabled that the contact form worked but I have to have that plugin activated which it is. Something in that code updating from whatever SY theme I had to 2.5.6 has mucked things up.
*sigh*
This has just been one sucky day.
October 31, 2013 at 1:24 am #6546Once I registered it sent. Should probably put some text on that page stating that you must be registered to use this form or something like that.
Thing is I used to be able to click reply and the To area of my email would be the email address that was put into the form. I no longer get that email address when someone sends a message through the contact form.
October 31, 2013 at 1:06 am #6545No I didn’t try to register just typed into the fields. I’ll try registering to see what happens.
October 31, 2013 at 12:50 am #6544I don’t even get your email address sent by that form just name and no email.
October 31, 2013 at 12:49 am #6543I just clicked submit twice so not sure if you got the email or not since the text I typed into the boxes are still there after pressing submit.
October 31, 2013 at 12:41 am #6542I disabled the jetpack plugin since it still doesn’t work and does the same thing so I reactivated CF7.
Beyond frustrated right now. Nothing works even forms outside of the wordpress doesn’t work.
October 31, 2013 at 12:18 am #6541Same thing is happening. Can’t reply to the email placed in the email field it only wants to reply to my email address.
I friggen give up!
October 30, 2013 at 11:38 pm #6540Makes me wonder if the SY code was written to be compatible with Jetpack breaking any contact form if you don’t have Jetpack installed.
I’ll try it and see what happens.
October 30, 2013 at 11:17 pm #6539I don’t know if I want to install that or not. Since I remember reading people having issues with it not being compatible or something. I’ll have to dig up the threads on MSG and see what was up with that and SY. I didn’t install it before since some were having issues with it and compatibility.
It just sucks that it worked before and I’ve changed nothing and it quits working.
