Mine update on their own except I had to add 3 more of them. Didn’t realize that the first images sitemap would get changed to image-sitemap1 (or whatever it’s called) so it has about 1000 duplicates of urls and images.

OOPS! It does that when your surpass 1,000 just in case you didn’t know that. That’s for Yoast not sure what the other plugin does.

Just checked it depends on how much you make a month. The more you make the less they take out of fees. Baseline is 2.9% plus .30 per transaction which is if you make $0 – $3000 a month. You make more than $3000 it goes down and so on.

At the bottom of the page you should see a link that says fees click on that then click on the plus button to show all fees. There should be a link somewhere on that page that’s under a small FAQ that says does it cost more to sell internationally. Click on that then click on the international fee calculator. You should probably be able to figure out your transaction fee from that I think.

My initial cost has been minimal less than $15 (keeping my overhead down while Google indexes everything). That cost may go up if I change hosting plans on my host or go with a different host (I’m still undecided).

Everyone will be different depending on what they need in a host which depends on how many images they have and how big those files are if there’s a limit on size and bandwidth.

Cost to the buyer is minimal compared to the personal customer service they can get directly from the artist as others have said.

If I were a buyer I would want the personal service.

I agree with Chromaco and I’ll add this:

Some people might not want to set up their own site as it’s extremely time consuming. I just finished uploading my normal port this morning and that took me a month including all the SEOing as well as setting up my main site inbetween. They’re probably discouraged since there aren’t many sales…yet but that will happen over time and worried about gaining exposure as Google Webmaster tools takes a long time to index.

I’ll agree that it does take a considerable amount of time to get things going. We hold the success of this venture so marketing and SEO falls to us. The more we find a place to market on the more exposure this whole thing gets which will hopefully bring buyers to us all.

And like Chromaco said maybe they’re waiting for it to start showing up in the poll results.

Also maybe they’ve never built a site before let alone worked with WordPress and the thought of it is scary and daunting to them.

I’m not sure how far mine is. I finished up all of my portfolio uploading this morning so there are unaccounted pages. I don’t even think I’m 50% through yet.

It sure loves to take it’s sweet time too.

Nice site love the 3d. I do 3d as well. I’m in the middle of a site backup right now and will add you once that’s done…if it ever gets done.

When I promote my site on Twitter I use the #Symbiostock and I’ll hashtag photos, illustrations, vectors and put a link to my site.

I have multiple twitter accounts and TweetDeck and if I want I can post about SY and/or my site from both accounts at once. Makes it easier though I have to keep an actual Twitter browser window open since TweetDeck doesn’t like to show updates on any account other than the default one.

Not sure how to post images through my site on to Twitter via the Tweet Photo thing. You all just linking to the mini pic?

I have a LinkedIn account and haven’t used it all that much. I just joined the SY group so see what happens from there. Definitely not the easiest site to get around so time to dive in and see how to use it to attract buyers.

Definitely if you go the slideshow route that you should use some kind of music in the background as it helps with visualizations so I’ve been told.

I’m going to look into doing that once I’m done with uploading and processing. At least another weeks work of site work then I can definitely start marketing more.
