What do I need to do for an uploaded video (for purchase) to have a preview thumbnail?

Are you running the processor automatically every minute? If so, the video previews should happen automatically. This is also assuming you are using Symbiostock Pro with the Video plugin.

Please address my questions so I can try to solve your problem. Are you running the processor every minute? Did you test your website with the video diagnostic plugin to ensure your server is capable of processing videos?

Yes, the processor is running every minute. I haven’t run the video diagnostic plugin. Which plugin exactly?

Also, If I have Symbiostock Pro, do I need to deactivate Symbiostock Lite?

    Please run and install this:

    https://www.symbiostock.org/product/symbiostock-video-diagnostic/

It will give us a quick idea of if your server is able to process videos. No, you do not need to disable Symbiostock Lite.

Thank you, its installed. I don’t see a way to run it. is there anything I am supposed to do or does it just do what it does in the background?

Once you enable it, you should be able to see it under Symbiostock > Settings as a new tab. Then you can test the video functionality.

Awesome, the diagnostic tool works (shows a video preview) so why doesn’t the video I uploaded have a preview?

Okay, that’s good news. Now, if:

    1) You are uploading videos to the proper upload directory
    2) Are running the processor automatically every minute
    3) Have enough disk space for everything

and are still not seeing a thumbnail, then you should do the following:

    1) Disable the processor running automatically
    2) Upload a video and wait 5 minutes
    3) Enable errors in WordPress: https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG
    4) Run the processor manually and see if any errors show up.

Would you confirm where I should be uploading video. I am uploading to the same folder that I upload images currently.

Yes, as long as it is the correct upload directory that is listed in your Symbiostock Settings, and you have confirmed it works by testing an image.

So, I have no issue with uploading images. Technically, the video uploaded as well but it is not playing a preview and i have no way of knowing that it will work when a customer downloads it. How can I confirm this and what do I need to do to get a preview for the video?

Did you follow the instructions I mentioned? What was the output of the processor?
